Now, question for the entrepreneurs out there: what other tools can you put online on an ASP driven model (ASP = application service provider, not MS' Active Server Pages)?

Revenue models = advertising, value added services, transaction-related services (storage, indexing, etc)

The first manifestation of this was EMAIL. What's next? Web-based OS? ie., local machines have just enough "OS" to be able to log on to the net and the user picks among a "menu" of competing online OS?

I believe in the mid 90s the idea of "Net terminals" was big then it died down... Since the Net is much much more popular and implemented now, have most of the problems that killed the early net terminal movement disappeared?

Maybe make a webmaster version... What kind of tool would webmasters want? Maybe an ASP version of graphic tools (GIMP-based)?
