This sucks!
 

2 weeks ago it was what we call "queensday" in Holland, we celebrated the birthday of our former queen.
Alot of people, music and other stuff on the street.
I was gonna meet up with some friends in the afternoon here in Amsterdam.
When i arrived downtown it was so crowded i decided to avoid the Damsquare (you normally walk there when going somewhere in the center, its in the middle)
Anyway, i had a great day, watch some bands and stuff.

Few days ago a friend asked me if i saw the band Queen during queensday (Since he knows im a BIG queen fan). I was like WTF? Queen? They dont play anymore, let alone here in Amsterdam.
Turned out Queen was a surprise act that day on the fucking DAMSQUARE at the same time i walked nearby, avoiding that place.

I still cant believe it, i never saw them play live and i guess i never will...
They were fucking 200 meters away from me playing in public!!!
ARRGHH i'll never forget this!

... sure thing, and freddy m. was there too ... let me guess, elvis presley was the support act ... ??

Shit man, bad deal. I had a simiar experience with Aerosmith when I was in Boston. Was trying to decide between two places to go to. One had a band that I had never heard of, the other had a band that a local radio station was saying was great. We went to the one that had the band that the station recommended. It turns out that the other place had Aerosmith playing under a different name.

hey Batt, it was at Museumplein.. i was there, but the concert
wasn't that good :( Too bad you missed it man!

Haha same shit...well at least theres a bigger chance you will get to see them another time.

Museumplein???? What? then i was even closer!! When i met up with these peeps we were heading for the museumplein!! Aargh this is crazy.

BTW. I dont care if it was good or not, i would have given my left nut to see them play one song!

I was there the Queen's Day eve, had to fly 6 am flight 30th morning. But the night was pretty full of life too. Wish I could have stayed.
