is there some sort of table or rule of thumb to follow on this... say increments of 10k traffic raises the price of the banner spot 50$ so a site with 50k would sell a spot for 250$.... could this be somewhat close?? this is greek to me..

i think it should be like how it is in almost any market.
the more you buy up front, the cheaper you should get it for.
say if you buy 10k hits for $10, 250k hits should be like $200-$230

There are two pricing rules in the traffic market:

1. Don't buy it for more than you can make on it.

2. Don't sell it for less than you could make on it.

So that's what I've been doing wrong all this time.

yes follow those two rules and you should never lose money... hehe

That way no TGP will ever sell gallery spots. It's just easier money for them than making galleries to fill their TGPs everyday.
