Long story short i got the nicest chick on the phone........

Told her how the 2 week hold was put and so on.........


She says she couldnt figure it out either.......



So she took the holds off........ Thank God........

I am going to the branch 2morrow and closing 3 accts there.

100's and 100's of checks i deposited there and all of a sudden they decide to put a hold.......

Dont bank with em.........

Totally agree! They can't be trusted with shit without 99 sub-clauses, why's and wherefor's and also don't even trust em with any volumes of money. They exist to be used and abused - nicely.

BoA is bad. They deserve to the place they have earned themselves in history: the bank most targeted by scammers.

My mom deposited a $7,000 check at one bank (Compass) and they put a ten day hold on it. She deposited a $20,000 check at Wachovia and she could write checks on it that day.

I just opened an account at Wachovia, too.

In general, the smaller banks want your business more, and they give better terms and customer service.

B of A has some of the worst customer service of any bank I've ever dealt with.

Closed my accounts there long ago.

I have never had my credit union hold a check, including one from out of the country for 5k.

BOA is the worst bank ever.

chase is good, wells fargo is ok.. hard to find a good bank these days.

Yeah i have accts at a few banks , but i need to close 4 of em at BOA and get a new bank...... fuck i hate this shit i have to bring in the corp docs and all that shit fucking aaaaaaaaaaaa

I am not a big fan of BofA but I do have a couple of accounts with them. Luckily I haven't had any problems my funds are usually available the next day.

you are all lucky you are in the U.S.. in canada we have 4 banks and they all suck.. and if they give you problams . the most you can do is change branch ..

but you will be back .. since all 4 suck :)

Wachovia rules.
Their fees are a bit steep but they're fast and efficient.

BoA also seem to randomly pass on a portion of CCBill wire transfer charges to the recipient bank from time to time. Sometimes my wires cost me $47 instead of $30 :(

I am impressed so far. It took me less time to set up an account online than it does to set up a Yahoo account, lol.
