"What do you mean there's no mailbox?"
Just a slightly amusing story.....
I just opened a Wachovia account, and I gave them my new address because I want the right address on my checks. So, I go by the new house today to check the mail just in case my checks and debit card come before I move in on Monday, and guess what?! Yup, there's no mailbox at all there, lol! So, when I got home, I called my ex-husband, (we're pretty much still best friends), and tell him there is no mailbox at the new house. He says, "What do you mean there's no mailbox?" I was like, "um, it's pretty self-explanitory, hun. There. Is. No. Mailbox. At. My. New. House." LOL So I start babbling on about buying a mailbox, and I said, "I need a post-hole digger, right? A shovel will make too big of a hole and even if I fill it back in, it will be too soft to be stable, right?" And he says, "You need a post, too." LMAO No, really, Bri? I thought I could wave my magic wand and it would hover at the perfect height! Or maybe we could just suspend it from the nearest tree?! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh Poor guy, he must have had a helluva day at work, lol! |

What about just getting one of those 12$ deals that screws onto the house beside your front door?

I have to have a box in my area. They even tell you at what height the box has to be for the postman or woman to reach while in his or her vehicle. *grin*
But I did find a mailbox and post for less than $15 at Lowe's, so guess what I'm doing tomorrow, lol! |

That's funny. Last year we're pretty sure the town snow plow truck knocked ours down into the woods. We went to check the mail and the whole mailbox was gone :1orglaugh

When I lived at my old place, some friends came by, and they were carrying a mailbox..they came in with it, then leaned out the front door, compared the numbers, and said, yeah, it's yours! We were like, wtf? lol Turns out they saw it around the corner on the ground, and they thought the numbers looked familiar, so they picked it up. I lived on a 90 degree corner in the sticks, lol, so I guess some kids were playing mailbox baseball that night.
