wireless net-- suggestions
Is there a way to boost a signal? How about making it faster? I'm running 54mbs usb ports, but the adapter is capable of 108mbps, so, if I upgrade the usb ports to 108mbps, would it be that much of an improvement?
Also, most of the connections I find are unsecure.. what risks are there when working on unsecured connections... I have my firewalls on at all times. |
lol connect your your own networks not others!

180 is not a standard , it is just a company thing like netgear etc , they do it by using more channels , so to take advantage of the extra speed you need matching gear , eg; netgear router/acceess point and netgear wireless land card
to boost a signal you can by amps to get your signal pumping out and to amp distant conenctions a better antenna will also do a good job , the more height you have on the attenna the more distance it will cover of if you are a city with a bit of mucking aroun you can bounce your signal off other things to gain distance |
