Money isn't everything?

Bullshit! It's everything to me but my family. If I had all the money I needed I would have very very few problems. All the problems I have now all involve money directly or indirectly. In todays world it will get you laid, toys, respect, healthcare anything. So that statement is not totally true. Just something on my mind not complaing, I got shit thats gonna pay off in another 6-8 months big time.:thumbsup

WWC-Pajio 04-26-2006 07:09 PM

......I beleive that rich people are sucks and poor people too!! cause rich people have eveything they want and they are bored from life cause they did everything!! In contrary, poor people want a lot of things and it's obviously cause they don't have money..

I say the best way to live life is to have money but not rich.. I think the middle layer in society is the best!! They enjoy both of poor and rich at the same time..

minusonebit 04-26-2006 07:13 PM

What is there to enjoy about being poor? I dont see the need to sample both sides of this one.

Dirty Dane 04-26-2006 07:14 PM

You can't buy everything with money.... but most of it :)

I experienced both.. I didn't get too rich but still!
poor people are generous / rich people are not.. poor people know how to have a good time (if you know what i mean) / rich people did all of that and there's nothing to try anymore so why not to try drugs and end up in a coffin.. :pimp

Money doesn't buy you happiness. It can get you small boosts of what you think is happiness with purchasing material possessions, but it will wear off really quickly.

I can live with a tv, computer, a pizza and bitch sucking my dick and be happy. I don't need or want a benz or anything like that. The only people who like people who drive hot cars are either rich like them, or gold diggers. The rest don't pay any mind or hate on them. So i rather live middle class then poor or wealthy.

I'm not talking about buying material things i dont need that. Having your house paid off and food in your mouth with good healthcare is all i need.

Money is a big deal too me it seems like. Good thing I have been at the good end of the stick with it the past 2-3 years. Got enough saved up incase something happens which is good too. My fiance, money, and sports make me happy. Well sports usually do lol!

KRL 04-26-2006 07:49 PM

I think the best spot to be is a basic upper middle class millionaire.

Obviously being lower class sucks, but being too rich can be as miserable as being poor.

The happiest people I know are the ones that make great money, have all the basics covered without excessive toys, got a couple mils of net worth, live nice, have some fun toys, but aren't over the top super rich.

It seems once you get too much you get bored or fucked up in the head with it all. Can't trust anyone. Become a target. etc.

So many celebs and other people are filthy rich, yet like KRL says, too fucked up in the head to deal with it...

money isn't everyting, but you'll find that only the last few minutes of your life when you realise how much time you had spent in your life making them as oposed to the thing you should have done with that time

So true. Long story short when I was 18 I received a trust fund from death of parents. Money is not only bad because it changes your priorities and value system. But what's the worst is it changes people around you.

Now don't get me wrong. I still have some of the same friends I did have back in highschool, and grade school that stuck by me for good and bad. But.. there were some who had to be jettison.

These are the one's who ask you to buy them things for no reason. Clothes, or other materistic things. Also those who women who wanna chummy up to you because of the nice car and pad. The one saying I came to hate most was, "Well you can afford it".

You would hear this when they asked for something. Or when you loaned them money, and they were suppose to pay you back and never do. Insert that phrase.

The lesson I took from that was simple. Money is a nessesary evil. It's a means to an end.

If you let it comsume and define you as a person, then you are going to be in real trouble. Because when the money's gone, so will a lot of those new so-called friends be. Having a lot of money is a serious responsibility. Both in managing it, but making sure it doesn't change the person you are.

Also it's best not to talk about your wealth to people because you will get all the sharks coming after you. If you want the hottie gold diggers it's great. If you have no soul, and know they are there for one thing. So you can run through them like underwear. But if you want more meaning out of life. It's best to keep the finances behind closed doors so people like you for who you are. Not what you have, or can give them.

:2 cents:

Years ago I worked for a while as a delivery driver for a local appliance store. At the end of the day we had a last-minute delivery of 4 appliances (fridge, stove, washer & dryer) to do on a Christmas eve to a wealthy customer who lived on the outskirts of town in a huge house.

We arrived at the house and discovered he wanted us to take away his old appliances. No problem - it was a fairly common practice for us.

But the delivery took about an hour and a half - and we finished up close to 8 o'clock that evening. Christmas eve.

The guy never offered a thank-you.....let alone a tip.

A lot of rich people are cheap cocksuckers. Through and through. Not all - of course. But a lot in my experience.

(and yeah, you're about to say - that's how they got rich.)

Barefootsies 04-27-2006 05:33 AM

That seems to be common.

Back to the waitress example from a few weeks back. My sister (and some friends) have done the waitress gig at various nice restraunts. The rich assholes would come in. Tie their table up all night with a party of 20, 30, 50. And then leave a .50ct tip.

:disgust

look around you.. try to see if you can look anywhere but the sky and not see something there with some kind of purpose involving money.. you can't.

Money gives you options. Options are nice.

For money you can buy justice, I'm here because of money and justice for me... that is the truth... my problems started about one year ago... long romantic story like Romeo and Juliet plus father illness and bankruptcy of my shop with music cds (now in my city nobody buy it... most of people listen to mp3, and 1$ on one cd isn't much when you can sell only 2 cds a day) all that things did I realized that all those devout people who pray every sunday in church treat me like a zero, trash, nobody (even literally some of them said I'm zero only because I'm student of small high school) ...and now the only solution I see is the money!

BluewireAngie 04-27-2006 12:45 PM

Money is everything but it is worthless if you cant spend it with your family and love ones. :)

A feeling of security doesn't hurt when you're seeking happiness.

Money isn't everything. GOLD is everything! :1orglaugh

nah, I'm kidding... I wouldn't trade my wife and my kids for Fort Knox. Well, not unless I figured I could stage a raid and get them back within a couple of weeks. :winkwink:

Dagwolf 04-27-2006 04:12 PM

Happiness is: Camping, fishing, swimming, beer, movies, mushy stuff, seeing your kids succeed.

testpie 04-27-2006 04:24 PM

Money is nothing but a means to an end, and unfortunately, the driving factor behind most things in life: the reason you went to school, to get decent grades and get a decent job that paid... lots of money.

I'd rather be middle-of-the-road than rich anyday: i'm (soon to be) in this business because i enjoy business, not the trappings of success. If you think about it, arguably, most people are in business for something more than money - look at all the major corporations: why does Bill Gates still go to work with all the money he has? Because he is working for something more than money.

Screaming 04-27-2006 04:32 PM

money sure isnt everything but it sure does help

Ohhh and all those things at once. Having a beer while fishing, while your camping while watching your kids catch a fish ;)
