why do you idiots park in handicapped spaces when you don't have a disability?
see topic, and then try and explain yourself
|
reminds me of the Curb your Enthusiasm where the guy uses the handicap stall because he has a stutter lmao

Yeah being in a wheelchair is bad enough but it really pisses me off when people who are not handicapped are parking in handicapped. I have sports car which is actually easier to get in and out of but people still leave notes saying I am not handicapped because of my car.

Are you serious? That doesn't surprise me at all. I think what many people don't realize is... it isn't the closeness that makes handicapped parking spots better, its the width. The spots are much wider than a typical car spot, especially in big cities where real estate is a hot commodity. Those wide spots are needed to open the door all the way so its easier to get in and out. I've always said they need to have different colors and classifications for parking spots now since they give those placards out so easily. |
I've never done that, but once I parked in an "expecting mothers" spot without realizing it til after I left my car, and I didn't go back to move it. I know, I'm an evil person.
|
I only do it if the rest of the car park isn't busy and I'm just gonna be quick.
|
Izzzz - message me on icq - canhahaha180;t find you in my list lol :thumbsup

I only do it if there is NOWHERE else to park. Other than that, I won't do it...I figure that a handicapped person would want to be treated equally. That means that he/she has to walk/roll as far as I gotta go.

ugh, what annoys me most is when people jog towards their car, obviously having no disability, they look around and jump in. i don't have any disabilities and i really dont mind having to walk an extra five minutes from my car to the store. |

If they have a placard on their car, I don't see how you'd know what their disability is. For many people, closeness is very important. Being able to park right outside the office building to your doctor's office is necessary if you have a heart or breathing condition.
If there's no placard, leave a note - I do :) |

i never do....anyone who does should be shot!

A Men - I see that all the time

But they aren't "legally" there - it's just something the stores have done for their customers. Publix started the expectant mother's thing 10+ years ago and I think it was an Ingles where I saw the small children sign. |
People suck and just don't care about other peoples problems, Thats one of the major problems in the country as a whole...When did we stop caring?
|
I'm disabled and that fucking pisses me off. I mean there are only a very small few handicapped spots yet the lazy fucks take them and leave the handicapped people to park in a spot that is a pain in the fucking ass.
|
idiots are also handicapped :)
|
For myself, I spend too much time sitting on my ever spreading ass. I park as far away as I can so I have to walk further. Any exercise is good exercise.
It is the same as using the wheelchair stall in a restroom. I will wait on the other stalls to open up first. As an ignorant teenager I went into a wheelchair stall and there were none available when someone in a wheelchair came in. The person with her gave me a HUGE lecture. I totally understood the difficulties they went through and I have never been in one since. |
convince a person with a handicap sticker to run into them, see them get a fat ticket and i'm sure no one would blame a handicap guy for trying to park in his spot and expecting an empty one hahah

Because when I go to a store and there are 30 handicap spots open and the rest of the parking lot is full, I am not going to park a block away. Same goes with fire lanes.

OK, I use the handicapped stall. And will continue to do.
I won't pick it if there's something else open, but if that's the only stall open, especially if there's a line, I'm going in. Sorry :( I'm quick though! |
dont park in handicap spaces, hate people that do
|
....well I think it's not only about the parking but all the illegal stuff people like to do it!! :) it's something natural I think.. I like to speed when the speed limit is 35m/h.. but i never tried to park in the handicapped spaces.. heheh :smokin
|
What's more annoying is this: One handicap-spot on a block. One handicapped person. The person uses the spot perhaps 20% of the time and the rest of the time he takes up a regular spot and the handicap one is wide open - everywhere else is full.
He's not doing it out of concern for anyone else since there's never been any other car in his spot. He obviously prefers other spots and will only use "his own" when it's convenient. People like that are more of a waste of time and space than those who occasionally use one of 30 handicap spots at the mall. |
I have a solution that will make everyone happy.
Put all of the cripples on their own little island. That way they won't interfere with the rest of society and they can have as many blue parking spaces as they want. |
