What about the children holding guns? Teaching gun safety, and proper handling to children, you have a problem with that?

Great site and great pics .... but I don't approve of kids and guns. I know people say if they are tought right no problem. But I disagree. Kids shouldn't be introduced to guns at all.

Love this pic.

It's much better to teach them about guns and gun safty before they find one at a friends house and something really bad happens... Just my :2 cents:

Nice Pics Anthony! :thumbsup

I've had a gun since I was 6 years old. It was a bolt action .22 that my Father gave me. He kept the bolt and ammo in his gun safe and the rifle went on my wall. I've been shooting since I could hold a pistol. A gun has saved my life twice as a civilian and countless times in the military, as an MP, a criminal investigator and a SRT (SWAT) team member.

You naysayers are just misinformed. It's ok, I understand. I don't get a lot of people's fascination with a lot of different things. The difference is that I don't whine, bitch, moan and complain about something I don't know shit about.

I've got the "peace through superior firepower" stickers on my gun cases hahaha....mine have peace symbols tho!

for those of you with your panties in a bunch over the kids with guns....its sort of like riding a bike, if you learn from like 8-16, you never forget it...& the younger you teach a kid about gun safety...the less likely they are to misuse one....

its no different than taking a kid fishing if the proper precautions are taken...i.e., don't jump in the water, don't get near the bank if i'm not with you...always wear a life preserver etc.

its such a nice day too....i think i might run out to the outdoor range today with the ak

We agree to disagree then.

Do you have children? Mine are taught that for every action, there is a reaction. Gun safety, and use are things that children should be taught.

One less thing as a parent I have to worry about.

For those of you who don't understand what he just said.

It comes down to this.

Lets say you have a 9mm glock upstairs in your master bedroom for home protection. You always lock your room when you're not home, you take all the normal precautions. But one day you forget to lock your room. Children being children, one of them comes in & snoops around your room with a friend...lets say looking for your wifes chocolate stash. They come accross your glock in the proccess.

Now if that child has been taught proper gun safety, he'll know its not a toy & leave it alone. PERIOD.

Its not something you ever want to happen without your supervision, but if it does ever happen (and trust me it does), your kids a whole lot safer. As a child a went over friends homes & they showed me their parents guns....on several occassions i saved their asses, literally.

And just for the record, no kid ever starts out with a 9mm....you buy them an airgun to teach them the basics. I got an airgun around 9/10...& moved on to a .22 when i was 11...and so on.

I agree 100% but can't you teach kids about guns and gun safety without handing them a loaded weapon? I just don't think kids should be shooting guns at all. I am all for education.

Its like you teach kids about drug use. No one gives a kid a joint to try out. Ok .. maybe a bad comparison but you get my idea.
