Paysite owners

do you think alot of webmasters would join if you paid out 85% rev share

has anyone tried this before?

After Shock Media 04-24-2006 02:59 PM

Do you think I think webmasters are worth 85%?

Manowar 04-24-2006 03:04 PM

topbucks offer 80%. that's pretty insane compared to most

the average is 50

60% is good

madawgz 04-24-2006 03:04 PM

no, would a sponsor ever payout that much money to an affiliate... to keep them happy

RRRED 04-24-2006 03:05 PM

Depends how many joins they can send and the quality of their traffic.

How about affiliates pay the sponsor an application and membership fee for the privilege to promote that sponsor and earn an income.

Why, it would be a tax deductable business expense. It would keep out the fly by night scammers and the weekend beer money promoters. Cause less programs to become saturated. Raise the bar of entry into this business.

Yeah yeah ok I am dreaming.

candyflip 04-24-2006 03:13 PM

We're going to be paying out 70% on revshare.

Theirs is 80% but when you check your stats more closely, you see its only 65% in real. :)

saturation? the traffic volume is stable(and growing), if you send it to the paysite within 1 month(tons of affiliates) or 1 year(less affiliates), it still makes the same amount of sales :)

Saturation of free content, not the site overall. That does not happen to much unless you are a submitter.

Nope you are being greedy. What in the hell do you think you do as the program owner to deserve 40%

Probably. But how the hell would I be able to pay for the costs of running a paysite if every single dollar goes to either the affiliate or the payment processing companies?

Ok lets assume it was 85% revshare. Will the processing cost come out of the affiliates cut or will that be split or taken out of the program?

Assuming you get 12.5% fee's we would have the following:
85% affiliate 2.5% program owner. (program eating all fees)
72.5% affiliate 17.5% program owner (affiliate eating fees)
78.75% affiliate 11.25% program owner (split fees)

Now would you also want the program owner to provide hosted ad material as well? Maybe toss in Epassporte payment options?

lol, I hope that was sarcasm.

If not.

With a $25 membership the affiliate would get $15.
Then with his $10 (40%) $3.50 goes to credit card processing fees. (@14%)
So that leaves 6.50 to pay for content to keep customers recurring plus hosting are the next 2 big expenses. DO the math. Not much left for profit.

So if a revshare program claims 85% read the fine print and or make sure who's paying the processing fees. Also be sure to join the site and check it out on the inside because you do not want to push a shitty site that hardly updates that's full of upsells on a revshare biz model!

no

cause theres more to a program then 85%, rebills, content, management, quality of the pics/vids

I always learned cheapass stuff is costing you more in the end then a decent priced product. Same thing here imho.

Dont worry it was. I feel you do more than what you pay yourself.
