Wanted: 100 word site reviews - I will pay $5 for each accepted

I'm looking for a few people who can do site reviews for me of mashup sites. Each review should be about 100 words and include a screen grab. Please see http://mashups.com for an example review if you are interested - then you can email [email protected] with a review of a site. If I like your review I'll pay for it and ask you to keep them coming. If I don't like the review you won't be paid, will retain copyright and I won't use it, but I'll thank you for trying anyway!

By *like* - I mean, whether the reviewer decides the site is good, bad or indifferent, I will only like it if it is well thought out and literate.

For anyone that can write fast and fluently there's 100s, possibly thousands of dollars to be easily earned here.

To find sites just Google mashups or mash-ups or bastard pop and so on to find a site to review. Once I have selected a few writers we'll compile a list of sites so nobody duplicates any other reviews. BTW - I will not be covering the new area of software mashups - just musical ones (for now anyway).

Wow, that's generous. Five dollars to find a site, visit it, write a decent couple of paragraphs, take a screen grab, paste it in a file, convert it to a jpg, email it to you. And you want LITERATE - all for five dollars which I won't even get if you don't like my writing or if someone else already did that site.

Why is it that writers are not only supposed to work cheap, but we're supposed to be grateful for the work as well.

Yikes

You didn't quite understand Cynthia. It is only the first one that I choose to have the right to reject. Think of it as a job interview. If I select your first one I will buy all you can write.

And no - you will only get to review sites that nobody else has done.

At one site every 10 minutes you can earn $30 per hour - for an 8 hour day that would be $240 - For a 40 hour week I am therefore offering $1,200 - to someone capable of writing six of these an hour.

But I want to see your first review first to see if you can write the way I want it for the site. Once selected my regular writers will be earning a lot of cash. And all paid DAILY via Paypal for all work received that day.

elite: If I wanted cheap workers I could probably get Indians at $1 per review - but I don't I want good, 100 word reviews from people that can write proper english.

jdavis: So - $30 per hour or $1,200 per week is too little for you? You must be making BIG BUCKS is all I can say!

I read your other thread and what your asking is still very unreasonable.

Outsourcing would be your best bet. The English wouldny be native but it would still be ok and the quality wont be terrible either.

I dont think Indians would work at $1 each, no matter how low they charge.

Visiting a site, gathering info, writing about it takes a hell of a lot longer than ten mins even if it is only 100 words unless you want utter garble.

Just my two cents.

Well, I have a couple of people already - I myself can do a review in about 5 minutes - a little rushed but good - in 10 minutes I can do a fair job. I used to review sites for a living in 1995 - would do dozens per day :)

Wordsforhire 04-24-2006 03:19 PM

Thats great to hear you have people but these types of jobs are what brings the writers trade down.

People see one person do it and then they copy, this is why places like scriptlance, rent a coder and get a freelancer all pay pittens.

If you were a writer you should know fine well what Im talking about and I cant quite understand how you can justify it.

Good luck with the reviewers though, hope all works out for you :)

Yeah.. but a true writer takes the time to capture the readers attention.

hehehehehehe

We're not writing novels here.

This is an index of sites with descriptions.

Oh, and Wordsforhire?

I think you'll find that the word is pittance - not pittens ;)
