Yeah.. It's nice.. I like it..
Very close to the mountains, nice and 'outdoorsy'...
most people here are quite fit and don't spend a lot of time inside..

currently there's a major housing shortage though.. lots of jobs available, but you won't be able to pay for housing :)

My ex lives in canmore, a mountain town about 90 minutes west of calgary (near banff). The city has great access to the mountains if you're into that sort of thing.

nowhere is really all that bad but the NE and SE are kinda bummy...I like calgary more than hongcouver, less crackheads

Yea, when I was still in Vancouver it was pretty bad. Like Franklin, I think it was, with all the bums. I heard they cleaned up Vancouver a lot though? for the Olympic Games.
