Photoshop Tip - Freaky Colorized Eyes

Hey guys, another tip for beginners this week. You can use this to colorize anything off a black and white image:

Great tutorial , keep up the good work

BobG 04-23-2006 12:00 PM

cool tip. I guess you could do that with roses or anything you want colored too huh.

Rob 04-23-2006 12:12 PM

Easier way to do it is to create a new layer on top of the image, make a selection, fill it with whichever color you want and then change the layer style to softlight or overlay. Then tweak the opacity and blur it a bit.

Nice tutorial though.

Yeah, or you could cutout the color part of the original and then paste that back on. They all giver you different qualities to the end product though. That's the cool thing about Photoshop, there's a million ways to accomplish the same thing.

Cool man! Nice to hear from ya. I gotta come up with a bunch more now. I'm not sure if I want to do some more advanced stuff or keep doing the real 101 type lessons.

2) Now that the picture is without color, we will need to zoom in on the part we are coloring so we can see it in greater detail. Select the magnifying glass tool as shown.
A little too much detail there. :winkwink: Anyone who can't work the magnifying glass is going to be lost before this point.
