So, I rented King Kong for tonight...

I'll be back in 4 hours or so to tell you what I think.

This being the "post my review of the latest movies" message board that it is!

awesome CG in the movie , i liked it very much , too bad the monkey dies at the end

Alright, let me just say... this movie certainly does have it's flaws. Moments where you go "yeah right".. like running in and out of dinosaur legs without catching so much as a scratch.

But then again, I am watching a movie about a giant ape, so reality isn't really supposed to be a huge factor.

I felt the movie was very well done, and yes... it was long, but I like that they didn't rush through it... that they took the time to really tell the story.

The CG was awesome. Everything looked very real except for a few quick spots. Otherwise, you really thought he was ugly, and cute.... and most of all, real.

At the end, Natalie (my fiance) actually got all emotional and upset that they'd actually kill poor Kong, rather than just take him back home and leave him.

If you can evoke emotion out of someone, then you've done your job. And they did.

I was quite impressed :thumbsup

Anything's got to be better than the '76 remake of King Kong:upsidedow

I saw it a the day it came out on dvd and I thought it was too long too, but other than that it was too bad a remake.

it was a very entertaining 3 hours in the theater for me. but the love angle in the story sucks

The start was a little slow but all in all it was a good flick.

northboy 04-24-2006 12:07 AM

pretty boring, I fell asleep somewhere midway and woke up near the end.

LOL, that is the King Kong story lest we get lost in the glitzy remake CGI:upsidedow

I really liked the movie. The thing was, i knew that king kong died in the end, but for some reason, i kept saying to myself "I hope this time, he won't die" lol. lame, i know :p
