Where to pickup C++/PHP programmers?

We have a ever growing list of "todo's" for programming tasks to be done and not sure where to find the best programmers.
Contacted a few outsourcing companies as well and they are more busy to get me to fill in the order form than to send me some CV's, one even refused to send me CV's and said they would pick the best guy for the job :321GFY
Question is, is there any place that have a list of programmers awailable to work, and list their skills and a CV as well?
I'm not looking for someone with 6-8 months experience in example PHP or C++ so that rule out most of the "board programmers" and I am not happy about posting all project details on places like rentacoder

Not to be flip, but generally any C/C++ programmer thats worth a shit has had years of training and experience and is a highly sought after and expensive commodity... which means they don't stoop to having their names put on lists and waiting around for people to contact them.

Only if Mexicans where hardcore programmers. How much is it to train a Mexican to be a programmer?

Why do you need C/C++. Only Wall Street needs C/C++, everyone else can make dow with Java or other tools.

I prefer not using programmers that set their prices based on the going rate of home made tequilla :thumbsup

Wall Street doesn't exactly have a lock on the need for mission-critical applications. In fact, the people that can make do with Java or other tools are actually the exception.

Would you want to ride on a 50 floor elevator whose firmware was written in Java?

We are using both Java, PHP, ASM, C++ through fastcgi, C++ for windows platform and custom webservers.
I'm not saying I only like C/C++, I am just saying what I am unable to find

High Plains Drifter 04-22-2006 02:04 PM

Craigslist, Dice, and Monster are the best place to find real programmers.

Seems to be mainly for full time people? fulltime people I would prefer having in our office, it is next to impossible to find programmers where our office is :(

Do you have any university close by, where they have computer science programs? That'd be your best bet, there's always a handful of people in one of those classes, whose first words were "array" instead of "mama". :)

c++ perform top notch man and is so much faster than java.

Search algoritms and such needs to be made in something that works fast.
