Legal issues about Online Casinos??

Hey guys, a friend and I were just talking on ICQ and I'd like to know this myself........

What are the legal issues of RUNNING an online Casino? I have heard mixed things about this, but would like to know myself what the legal issues are on these types of sites. Does anyone know?

I have always been curious about this myself. :)

u need $100k+ to startup

and it's got to be offshore if you want to live safe

you will need programmers, designers, incorporation offshore, there is so much involved

I run a casino in my basement.

If you are a US citizen you will go to jail for running one, if you are caught. That includes if your servers are offshore....:(

No no no, I don't wanna run one, I was just curious about them and legal issues is all........ God I haven't the time for running one or anythingl ike that, he was asking me and I had no idea, I knew there were some serious legal issues, just didn't know what.

The guy I was talking to lives in Aussie, so I don't know that he would have the same issues we have here.

Tammy, I found out the hard way. I spent several bucks building my casino like an idiot. Then I did the legal crap and found out I wasted my time and money. Wizzo & Kimmy are telling the truth, don't do it. But if you want to buy a domain I got a 1/2 way decent one.

Oh HELL no........... I haven't even got the time to THINK about a new site, much less anything else. LMAO Thanks but no thanks babe......... I love ya, but I am not even wanting to start a new site.

Me and my little Aussie friend were just discussing all the laws and such on them and neither of us were sure about them.....

you could legaly setup a casino site in the states if and only if a certain amount of your proceeds go to a charity

i was watching a show about this kind of raffles etc., playing poker, betting cash on the games, and having a % of the winnings go to charitable companies

so basically

if you found a state to get a license like that in, you would only have to put up 5 to 10% to the charity

you have to look more up on this, but it works..

payrollpete 05-10-2002 03:53 PM

it would work

LOTTERY FOR HELPING KIDS kind of thing

these companies get away doing that and paying such a small % to the actual charity its insane
