good for u

it's time u jumped on the 5k yr old bandwagon. soon u will get sick of it and have to add something else to it or switch to a different tea.

personally, i rotate between black, green, yerba mate, to water and tea pills . i use peppermint, etc.. to flavor tea when i need a change. no sweetener used.

plants are good to eat and drink!

nofx 04-21-2006 09:22 PM

why all of a sudden do you want to start drinking 'shitloads' ?

how do u brew it?
dont boil water -- it burns the leaves and changes the flavor. i dont bother straining it anymore. once the leaves become saturated they sink.

You and me both! I get the diet. There have been times when the stores have actually run out :( Right now I have about 14 gallons in the guest room. When I get down to 8, I start stocking up again. LOVE that stuff. But there's also no way it's calorie and carb free since it has honey in it. I predict a Nightline investigation :winkwink:

I don't care - I LOVE it! :)

I like brewed green tea too, but I'm usually too lazy to brew it.

spacekadet 04-22-2006 03:25 PM

I'm wondering if it'll stain my teeth though.. it's pretty much ALL I drink now!

Furious_Male 04-23-2006 10:44 AM

Tea bothers my stomach when I drink more then one cup. I do enjoy a nice cup of green tea on a cold day though.

SirMoby 04-23-2006 12:23 PM

Have you tried white tea? I like it for a change of pace.

Haha you didn't... I was just going to say the exact same thing. White tea is much nicer tasting and is better for you than green.

http://www.teany.com/index.html Check this out. This place is owned by Moby too ;) I've ordered custom blends before and it's fantastic!

abadfish 04-23-2006 12:43 PM

I love green tea, I buy it at the asian markets because it's so much cheaper. I have a delivery water service and the water dispenser is also capable of extremely water instantly. Makes it very easy to enjoy tea!

woj 04-23-2006 01:39 PM

Are you guys famliar with http://www.teavana.com? The prices are a little steep, but they have pretty good tea.. It feels a little overpriced, and I'm not really familiar enough with tea to make judgment if the prices are fair :-/

We have Teavana places here in ATL. I had some bubble tea the other night, but it was coconut, almond and something - not green. Sure was good :)

green tea makes you lose weight. I am a thin guy because of a very high metabolism, I noticed i was losing weight so had to stop drinking green tea :(

Z 04-23-2006 03:54 PM

I'm kind of a tea nut. I've been drinking it all my life because my family's very alternative medicine/hippieish.

My Mom gave me a really nice Japanese tea set when I was a teeanger and it's my favorite way to brew...but takes a lot longer. It's cast iron, but very high quality with ceramic glasses and a steel strainer for loose tea balls. Cast iron trivet, ceramic serving dishes and matching plates...etc.

I order the hand-rolled teas from China. Different types of green tea, white, black, Oolongs, Chai, etc.

If you know what to drink when and how, you can do everything with it. It's better than coffee, with all the advantages and none of the nasty side effects. Other types are better than Xanax or Ambien, again with none of the nasty side effects. There's teas for dieting, getting over flus and colds and even some types the Chinese swear will cure cancer. (I'm not so sure about that last one).

Regardless, if you ever want a really good cup of tea...come to my house. :-)

DaddyHalbucks 04-23-2006 03:58 PM

Green tea is good, but there are more powerful anti-oxidants.
