What happens to kids who have ADD and become adults?
 

Do they continue to take Ritalin, Adderal, etc..... or do the meds stop???? Could be a dumb question but I really never heard of adults on Ritalin.

More often than not, children with ADD/ADHD outgrow the disorder by adulthood, although it can persist.

you don't "outgrow" it, you learn work around it

oh and btw.. ADD is a myth

yea....tell that to the kids who went from a 1.2 gpa to a 4+ in a month when properly medicated

I have it and still got good grades in school. I would not want to live without it and would kill my parents if they had put me on ritalin.

It's an overdiagnosed, overmedicated, bullshit "disorder". Behaviour modification drugs should only be used in very rare circumstances as they normally fuck people up way more than they were to start out with. The worst part is that I know they are fucked up, other people know they are fucked up, but the person on the drugs really thinks they are "normal". It's sickening.

If they are "fucked up" their probably abusing it. Properly diagnosed people, taking the correct amount are perfectly fine. (for the most part)

Seen a lot of people on a lot of shit and every single last one of them that acts a damn fool because of some drug seriously think they are ok. I define their existence as BLAH. They just go with whatever and think it's ok because their mind is being pounded by chemical substances that don't let them be themselves.

what happens to them? well, i just sit here at the computer and look at hot naked girls and get paid, i think its the ADD that did it to me...

Ritalin had a weird side effect on me when i was little, i started to have a slow metabolizm and gain weight without eating, so i stopped taking it and haven't hadit since, just figure ways around my problem, not much can hold my attention, but i found out internet does.
