CIA officer fired for leak on 'black site' prisons

Breaking: MSNBC - CIA officer fired for 'leaking classified information' (not related to Plame leak). The officer is accused of being the source for Pulitzer prize-winning article on CIA 'black site' prisons in Eastern Europe by the Washington Post's Dana Priest. The CIA officer was fired after failing polygraph test about the classified leak. Criminal charges against the former CIA officer could follow.

We should publicly hang the Bitch. I hope she never sees daylight again.

That is treason if I'm not mistaken. I think you die for that.

Yeah, that's a pretty harsh crime.. I dunno if they're still putting people to death for it though any more.. but that is always a possibility I assume...

Yea but its okay for Cheney/Bush to be behind revealing a CIA undercover agent. :1orglaugh

directfiesta 04-21-2006 05:25 PM

How can she be guilty of anytrhing ????

This administration repeated time after time that those prisons didn't exist ... :eek2

Sorry, I could see a treason charge for someone helping terrorists, being involved in an assination, but this stuff is bullshit. If the government has to hide these things that are potentially illegal behind a wall of secrecy, they are the problem, not the leakers.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

bdld 04-21-2006 07:03 PM

hope the ex-cia officer gets some serious jailtime. how dumb can you be.

Didn't Bush himself say, in the Valerie Plane case, that he would fire anyone involved in the leak .... :1orglaugh

Donald Trump could do the job:

" you're fired ! "

I can't believe some of the other replies. Where is the outrage that we are actually doing these things?

It needs to be said again.

true that

minusonebit 04-22-2006 11:57 AM

I see nothing wrong with what the CIA op did. An unconsitutional order/law is not a order/law at all. The CIA op was under no obligation to keep secret such information.

MarkMan 04-22-2006 02:54 PM

I prefer if this government didn;t hide its intentions.. if they want to go to Iraq for the oil say so .. and if anyone disagree they can go fuck themselves.

and if we have to take over the world to make sure we stay rich .. do it!!!

hay why do we live in a bull shit fantasy world .. that pretends we give a shit about anything but ourselves.

and for the cia agent that reviled the info.. i would hang her.

Manowar 04-22-2006 02:57 PM

The fact remains she committed a egregious violation against her oath of office as a CIA officer as well as violating the signed agreement that opens her up to prosecution and imprisonment for violating her security clearance by revealing classified information.

What is even more vile about this bitch is the fact that she was working in the Inspector Generals division of the CIA which was investigating leaks and providing over-site for the rest of the agency.

I hope she gets prison time for this. I would also like to see the Pulitzer prize winner join her. It's despicable that Al Qaeda's best allies are traitors within our own intelligence community and the press. :disgust
