Now is a good time of the year to move up here to Portland. The weather is nice and you can convince yourself it actually won't rain everyday of the year. Of course that really isn't the case, the rain will be back before you know it.

I moved from Portland to Socal... can't imagine having to go back. It is seriously grey and rainy for 9 months straight.... and not what Californians call rain. What a Californian calls a "storm" is actually just rain, and it can last like that for weeks on end.
The good things about Portland? From July 5th to October 30th the weather is great, and you'll get a wave from people when you let them in your lane when driving.
