so my spyware battle continues... Interesting results inside..

it has come to my attention when typing in my sites url in google it gets taken elsewhere. Along with every top bucks site, hahaha site, tcg site, PG site etc. I am leaving the spyware on this pc mainly so i can find out whos behind it. But an interesting result came about when i typed in gofuckyourself on google, i clicked the top result which was www.gofuckyourself.com and i got this http://www.theaffiliateprogramguide.com/

anyone know who these guys are?

Sagi or AFF support could look up that ref code. Dunno if it will lead to whoever's spreading the stealware tho.

Check your host file.

c:WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/ETC/HOSTS

I have seen issues of this were the host file is changed so when your webiste is requested hackers will either divert your traffic to a diffrent domain or to the correct domin but with there ref code.

Duke, can you hit me up please - I'd love to know where they are being sent.

Tom_PM 04-21-2006 01:55 PM

I think davethetruth recently had an issue where no matter what he typed in the address bar, the browser would not go.. it didnt go anywhere. Maybe he had it halfway blocked? Not sure, but thought maybe worth a mention.

Duke, if you get the name of the spyware, please send that information to me or someone at topbucks for us to investigate as well.

Hosts file might be nonexistant. You dont *need* one at all, so if you have one and didnt add it yourself, post it's contents maybe and people can pck through it.
