Last Arsenal vs Tottenham match at Highbury

"Arsenal play Tottenham Hotspur for the last time at Highbury on Saturday in a showdown that will mark the end of an era at the old stadium and may decide who gets a place in next season's Champions League.

It is the biggest north London derby in the league since Arsenal beat Spurs at White Hart Lane to win the title in their 1970-71 double season and is far more important financially, given the rewards of playing in Europe's elite club competition."

Should be a cracker. Is anyone else going to be watching? Who do you think will win?

The extended European run seems a bit more important than 2nd in the league, but Man U were the better team in that game. :winkwink:

i say it will be a big 0 - 0
Arsenal will watch their feet for next week.

Sexsitesurfer 04-21-2006 07:30 AM

I think it will be a heated affair, both sides looking for a victory. They can't afford to sit back. Arsenal will use some squad rotation for sure....

Sounds like common sense.

I certainly hope they both go looking for a win!

It's very important for both teams to win. Question is, is it even more important for Arsenal to be fit for the game at Madrigal next week?

Sneezy 04-21-2006 08:33 AM

The Dutch rule in Soccer all over the World. Either as coach or as player. I will root for v. Persie and Bergkamp on Arsenals side, but I have a feeling that Martin Jol will have his team more than ready to take the game to Arsenal.

The Dutch master, Bergkamp, scoring another great goal like last weekend would be a nice way to round off for him! Just for you he can be assisted by Van Persie!

Arsenal will win against Spurs and Villa real then lose to Barca in the final
They'll finish 5th in the league and Henry will go to Chelsea next year.

That is just not funny!

If we beat Spurs we would have to seriously fuck up against Sunderland, Man C and Wigan to come 5th.....

Henry will stay!

Damian_Maxcash 04-21-2006 09:55 AM

Highbury is closing?

I only live down the road and didnt even know.

BTW - Arsenal of course - but keep it quiet, you get lynched for saying things like that around here.
