How do you write off your vehicle?

I can see maybe if you drive to shoot content or something... but can someone explain how in this industry you can write it off?

BobG 04-20-2006 10:13 PM

you would be suprised at how many of the miles you drive are actually business related. i know practically 100% of mine can be justified.

Just line it up at the top of a cliff and release the brake and move out of the way.

Chances are it will write itself off and no need to drive for any shoots. Why make life difficult?

Put your url on it and claim it's advertising.

Pornwolf 04-20-2006 11:04 PM

Hmm, on a Ferrari? If the URL being on the license plate holder counts then I'm game for that idea!

PimpDaddyPants 04-20-2006 11:19 PM

I wonder the same

You can write off anything really (haircuts, pizza deliveries, your ipod)....but if you get audited you have to be able to justify it, otherwise you're fucked

Most work from home webmasters really have no business writing off their car.

That's why I always have 2 cars, one for company and one for personal. The more expesives the company car and gets written off, but It's also used to haul gear to shoots etc so it's legit.

american pervert 04-21-2006 04:27 AM
