7 months in, and single again
 

*yawn*, i can never stay in a relationship for more than 6-7 months. the last 4 gfs have all been about the same length. i have no idea how i managed over 6 years with one girl. and lived with her on top of that! don't ever seen that happening again - maybe i'll make it a full year at some point before i die.

Next time find out what the other person wants in the very beginning. You can make an accurate assessment in the first week to month of knowing someone if you communicate open and honestly with each other.

If you are looking for something long term, then serious relationships include a lot of compromise and maturity. It will be hard to find someone who doesn't have a few minor things that you dislike. Nobody is perfect, so if you want or expect perfection... you'll never have a long term successful relationship.

If you find yourself breaking up with people for things that really shouldn't be given a second thought, maybe the issues are deeper than what you see on the surface and should be investigated. Commitment, trust, monogamy etc etc issues.
