What would be an easy tool to write in PHP?

Hey I've got a final project due in my php class. Is their any tool I could write that would be useful and not a huge undertaking? I had a few ideas but they blew. If I pick yours I'll give you a copy to use.

Thanks in advance.

Make a script that generates income with no work. That would kick ass.

Write a tool that will take a domain name, and split it into it's components. Like: MyFreeForum.com would return "My Free Forum"

Wow, they have entire classes dedicated for PHP alone? seems a bit overboard for such a simple language.

Do you actually have a need for a script like that?

madawgz 04-20-2006 07:56 PM

Nothing urgent.. but it was something I was thinking about writing. If he's going to do it, I won't bother.

I do a little. This seemed like one of those that might be fun because it's a little challenging. At least, until you crack it I guess.

A project which will take about a day to make?

Hmm... something like an advanced picture of the day script with an elaborate admin interface maybe?

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

Copy this to notepad - save file as whatever.php
Upload and call page with browser

Doesn't get much simpler than that

Brujah 04-22-2006 02:54 AM

woj, someone else is looking for it too. :)
