Your Sign-up Ratios (Overall)
 

Hey,

I was just wondering what types of ratios you guys selling your own subscriptions to sites are seeing? Say for instance, a $30 / month type plan? How many unique visitors are you receiving per signup? Some have told me their ratio has been 1:50, while others have seen upwards 1:800?

I'd imagine the best would be PPC engines, while the least would be TGPs. Just post what kind of ratios, on average, you guys are seeing.

How are they pointless? If you know you're going to get an average of 1 signup per 10 visitors, and you can get 100,000 visitors, you know you'll be getting about 10,000 signups. If you charge $30 per signup (just a figure I mentioned before), you know you're making about $3 per visitor on average (with 1 of 10 signing up for $30).

Usually the ratio comes with a fraction. People that have ratios as whole numbers may be faking their strong status in the industry. Serious scene people make at least $15 per visitor. Personally, I make $45 per visitor. That's why my ratio averages at about 1:1.5
Maybe you can now understand how many clicks are needed to maintain that ratio.

I'm not talking opt-in e-mail programs...I'm using FreeEmailBucks, and seeing about the same 1:15 ratio. I'm talking visitors coming to your site, liking it, and signing up for a 1 month / $30 membership type deal (not through ARS or anything, but just with your site).

What kind of ratios then?

I am maintaining 1:1.5, so I guess you will be better off using my ref code because you have high chances of maintaining that ratio and not 1:15

It depends, if they recur. Usually 2.5 people out of 10 recur. So it takes 4 memberships initially to have 1 membership recur for a long time.

If *we* got 1:10 doesn't mean that YOU could do even 1:10000. Thats why ratios are useless to compare. Especially seeing that it appears you are a newbie. Your skills aren't on the level of the people you are asking here. :winkwink:

I was emphasizing him the concept of using the ref code of the person that converts the best. That will increase his chances of being as close to the ratio, of the person he signed up under, as possible.

I think it's a good idea to track ratios, but I know some people who go way overboard and spend 1/2 the day clicking through stats rather than building more sites and making $$$.

And gemini, I can guarantee you know a shitload more about the industry than you do, as well as other areas of webmastering. Just beacuse it's my first few posts on this board doesn't mean you should act all superior, especially when you're inferior...

On a side note (not to offend those of you who have some decency), I'm starting to run a few adult sites to make some extra cash on the side...a chimanzee could run an adult site. Most "real" webmasters' time is occuped with real projects...not drawing people into looking at porn (wow, that's hard to do!)

we just dont like to talk about stats and money....some things should stay private
