Suggestions for things to do in Hawaii. Please.
As some of you know, I dislocated my knee in Phoenix; because of this, surfing is out.
So on to other things....any must see places? Suggested activities? I am staying in Waikiki. I have never been before. Going right after Ad-Tech, end of April. |
stay on the beach and checkout the hotties ;)

Go suck on Dawg's wife's toes, and get arrested on Dawg the Bounty Hunta.

Hi Cory! Awesome party at the Library--great seeing u! Grew up in Hawaii, was just there last year for my 20th h.s. reunion... lots of great things to do, definitely sign up for a Round the Island tour including Pearl Harbor.

ditch the hustle & bustle of Waikiki & hop over to Maui :)
|
just stay all day on the beach and count how many thongs will pass you by in a day
|
Do not goto Waikiki - it is too comercial. Goto the big island to Heilo, vidit the rain forest there. Take a helocopter ride over the rain forest and the volcanos. It is well worth the money. This is on the Big Island, Awaho is not the best island Mawii is good or some of the smaller islands.
|
I agree to not go to Waikiki. Maui or the Big Island would be so much better. Maui has the road to Hana with hundreds of waterfalls and hair pin turns. The Big Island is so relaxing with the volcano & rain forest - there's so much to do there. I have a huge gallery of pictures from my Big Island trip last summer. If you want to see them, hit me up - 16100431. It will make you change your mind. :)

- get arrested and skip bond so DOG will hunt you down
- ask local girls if they wanna do the "horizontal hula" |
I've not been to Waikiki; but, Tev spent some of his growing up years in Hawaii...and says, don't go there. Too commercial.
I like Maui myself....it's not huge; but, there's plenty to do....I stayed at Kapalua, Cory. You'd love that place. Or maybe not. It is a little more private than the other places where you could stay. I hope your knee feels better soon. |

To the others: I have to go to Waikiki: Girlfriend's brothers wedding. That said, this raises another question for me: How do I get from island to island? Helicopters? What are the cost like? How long does it take? How far is the North Shore from Waikiki? |

Verbal, I am not much for golf. I am pretty sure other golfers appreciate me not golfing.:1orglaugh |

bro, you gotta go to hanauma bay and do some snorkeling. its one of the most beautiful things i've seen in hawaii. you can always go to the north shore as well to just look at the waves. they are monsters. get some pics. :) :) |
LOL, I was just researching Hawaii ... I'm ready for a vaca :)
|
I dunno.. check out the active volcanoes? LOL, or go to that one island that's cursed, i forgot what it's called, but if you take a piece of the land from there - like a rock or something , you're "cursed" for life. Or something. It's pretty interesting.

Water therapy would work well for you....:) |
sunny beaches + camera = pics on gfy
|
too bad you cant surf . I'd go surfing right after the plane landing
|
You can find the best Cofee in the world there. Perhaps you can visit a plantation... I don't really know what you are into but that is what is coming to my mind.
I was there once and saw lots of them but never had the time to stop |

Sick party at the Library... thanks again. sorry about the knee man. Is your ACL ok? I've had both of mine worked on, I feel your pain and wish you a speedy recovery. I was gonna say, Hawaii... "get pitted" but that will have to wait. It might just have to be sun, fun, beach, and hunnies.

You have to go check out the North Shore bro. Get a nice plate lunch and go look for the Wolf Pack...j/k on the Wolf Pack. Actually go wander in some fields and look for Dog The Bounty Hunter.

Oahu didn't impress me when we stayed in Waikiki, but on the other side of the island, we stayed at Turtle Bay and loved it. In Waikiki, go to the Hawaiian Prince just to have a drink. Pearl Harbor is, of course, a must on Oahu.
737's island hop about every hour. First come first serve seating so get there early. Big Island is the place to stay if you have some time. The helicopter rides over the active volcano are incredible as is drinking coffee that's just been roasted on the Kona coffee plantations. Plus the Mauna Kea summit - snow in the middle of summer. |
Thanks everyone....

If you're gonna stay in Waikiki, stay the fuck off the beach and OUT of the water. They recently had a massive sewer line break and something like, 10 million gallons of raw sewage went into the water.
The Hyatt is nice, so is the Outrigger.... not much else to do around there unless you're into shopping. Go to "The Top of Waikiki" (restaurant) and have the Filet on a Rock.... it's awesome. Dukes restaurant is ok.... Hula Grill is okay..... Cheescake Factory is the fuckin' bomb. Aside from that..... fuck O'ahu. Come over here to Maui. :upsidedow |
got married in Waikiki 22 months ago
Touristy things: Pearl Harbour was good Ala Moana Shopping centre plenty of nice restaurants as mentioned above, go to mac Gillycuddlys and see if you can eat the moose.....then Curious Toyboy would be forced to go there and try and beat your record :thumbsup :thumbsup North shore was good |
