removing watermarks from images

what's the easiest way to remove watermarks from images?

pornguy 04-19-2006 09:13 PM

Just turn over all your cash to te program that you are stealing the content from. Cut out the middleman.

From sponsor images?

If so, read the Terms & Conditions, you don't have permission to do that.

madawgz 04-19-2006 09:17 PM

:1orglaugh what a question!

Halcyon 04-19-2006 09:32 PM

How do I get the blue dye off a bunch of cash? (and my hands)

Seriously... hate these damned watermarked images available from sponsors and just don't use em.

SilentKnight 04-19-2006 10:11 PM

The question would be - WHY do you want to remove the watermarks?

i'm a tgp owner & would like to remove watermarks from various sponsers to create clean thumbs for my site.

Gerco 04-19-2006 10:25 PM

Ya. remove my watermark I remove your account. You forfeit any money you have made. Sorry, but the watermarks are there for a reason. LEAVE them there.

And if you want to create "clean" thumbs just use a program that crops, then thumb a portion of the image not watermarked, but leave the originals alone.

A sponsor make have another obvious reason for having them :winkwink:

I just can't be bothered generating stuff with crappy watermarked images plastered all over. It's easier just to use some stock content.

Can you possibly be any dumber? What makes you think you have the right to do that?

Do I have permission to violate your TOS? Can I get galleries listed on your POS TGP then redirect the traffic?

Most watermarks are relatively small and barely noticeable when reduced to a thumb size. As others have said, if its that much of an issue - you should crop not erase. A lot of producers would have issues with watermark removal...even for thumbs.

Pete-KT 04-19-2006 10:40 PM

If you were removing my watermarks your account would be shut down in a second

*nodz* most watermarks are small & i'm able to crop around them but i'm having problems with 3 popular sponsers with huge watermarks with both text & logo together. i can't seem to crop it out without loosing too much of the image/action. guess i can try requesting the images without the watermarks from the sponsers. worth a try. thanks for your comments guys.

marketsmart 04-19-2006 11:10 PM

ask your sponsors to make the marks smaller. i think you will find that most are accomodating...

gooddomains 04-20-2006 12:10 AM

talk to the sponsor

To properly make thumbs for your site, chances are you're not going to use the watermarked portion anyways.

I have no idea what everyone is in such a uproar in this thread for. That is if all you are trying to do is crop thumbs for your thumb tgp. If that's not what you are doing then you need to be more specific in your question.

Violetta 04-20-2006 12:29 AM

well... I have never heard of a way to remove watermarks

Kevin - The PNN 04-20-2006 12:52 AM

I use Windex

seanchai 04-20-2006 12:55 AM

If they're too big that they're affecting your thumbs I'd question your sponsor - if you're using my images with the W/M removed fullsize, then I'm cancelling your account, calling your server and sending a cease and desist.
