fucker stole my dogs
 

Over a week ago I left my gate open and my little dogs got out. I didn't know they were gone for over an hour; I drove and walked the neighborhood for 2 hours [11 PM to 1 AM on a Saturday night]. Both dogs had collars and tags with my phone number. My closest neighbors know what the dogs look like and I told them my dogs had run off.
A week went by with no word. I had given up. That was too long for two little chihuahuas to be on their own in Phoenix--it is hot, no water, and things like cars, trucks, and coyotes that could kill them abound.

Yesterday I got a call from someone who had bought the dogs and wanted to know what food they preferred because they were not eating. My dogs had been found and sold with their collars still on! He was rather surprised when I told him I had been looking for them! I paid the guy the $100 he had paid for them. I think he knows more than he let on, but I was just glad to get them back and I was willing to pay a reward anyway. Dogs get to be like family~

So, some mutherfucker found my dogs on the street, and instead of calling me decided he could get more for them by selling them.
I hate thieves. At least I have my little dogs back.

That's horrible. There was a string of dog thefts in my parent's neighborhood about a year ago and it was very nerve racking for everyone. I'm glad to hear you got your dogs back.

Chances are the person that phoned was the person that took your dogs. In my area there was a rash of dog thefts. People would literally take dogs out of their back yards and then contact the owners several days later either claiming to have bought the or found them and were seeking a reward for their return.

Well if someone were to phone me saying they bought my dogs of someone with the collars on then id go over there and get them back. i wouldnt have paid for the dogs though, if your stupid enough to buy a dog with the collar on in the first place you deserve a beating.

I lost my cat once and its a horrid feeling - to put someone through that for a carppy $100 sucks.

i agree, its hard enough for me that i had to take my dog to the humane society, where i got him because the place i moved didn't allow animals... i paid $130 for him, pure bred Syberian Husky

Sounds about right, they are pretty smart sometimes.

People, Chad's dogs Chinko and Sony (or Rat and Hamster as they are affectionately know to me) are gorgeous little rodents who spend much time on my lap and licking my face when I spend time a Casa De La Chad.

glad you got them back, chad! i had someone try to steal my eskie once while we were vacationing in strawberry. he had gotten away from my sister-in-law on a walk and was trying to come back tot he cabin. some guy picked him up and was trying to take him in another cabin. i could hear him yelp like crazy. i ran outside, saw him in the guys arms and called to him. he bit the guy, the guy dropped him, and all was well.

You most likely paid the guy who found them, byb telling you he paid for them he figured he would get some money out of you

Thats bullshit, but if my dog got stolen, I would pay. Fuckers. After I got them home, I would make a late night trip over to their house and make sure whatever I paid them equaled the damage to thier car.

That sucks especially when some people are willing to sell their family for money.
