Fucking Email Viruses
 

Talk about a Mix of Spam and Viruses..... This is out of control, I get this many per day on 1 of my hotmail accounts, and I Have 4 pertaining to my sites.... its brutal!

Getting 4 perday. Thinking of ridding my e-mail link and post it in text. Some of these viruses scan your e-mail address right off the web.

I have only one choice, delete my email accounts, thats apocalyptic situation :BangBang: :BangBang:

The new game virus came from ite.net if I remember correctly I sent and e-mail with the header information to them no reply yet but three days later the virus e-mails were gone. Funny I used to never get viruses untill I joined the adult stuff lol

When Sircam hit last summer and I was getting upwards of 300 virus emails an hour I finally found a stand-alone program called Email Remover to download headers for deletion. I didn't want to use filters because you still have to download the entire email into your mail proggie. Some of these emails end up being 4 or 5 megs. As a safeguard (and mainly because at times the emails come faster then I can delete the old ones by headers), I set my email program (btw I will *never**never* use Outlook) to only download emails under 10k.

Now with the Klez mess, I not only get the virus emails, but I get emails from furious people telling me I've sent them the virus (you're of course aware it uses random email addys from the infected pc's own email lists and cache as senders) and also many emails that are kick backs from mail servers that I've sent a virus and it's been deleted.

I know without a doubt that my PCs aren't infected. I scan, double scan, etc. You have to these days.

It's frustrating and I think it's going to get alot worse before it ever gets better. Gone are they days that I can open my mail server, and click the "download new mail" button and not bat an eye.

Running such a popular site, you must have shitloads of em' sent to you.

in the near future killing a virus programmer will be considered a duty to your country..... As PK said,Klez is the worst email virus so far, it can drive you and the receiver crazy and it's hard to remove it.

what exactly does Klez do . . . besides spread itself through e-mail?

I mean they are all around 130K - that a typical Klez.
Klez is a work that spreads itself by emails in a tricky way - so you dont even see who you really got it from.
