I just received this message from my sister... This is fucking disgusting. :mad: :Oh crap :mad:

Do you remember February 1993 when a young 3 yr old
was taken from Liverpool, United Kingdom, by two
10-year-old boys.

Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a
second and Jon Venables took his hand and led him out
of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson.

They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles,
along the way stopping every now and again to torture
the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his
mummy?

Finally they stopped at a railway track where they
brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint
in his eyes and pushed batteries up his anus.

It was actually worse than this . What these two boys
did was so horrendous that Jamie's mother was
forbidden to identify his body.

They then left his beaten small body on the tracks so
a train could run him over to hide the mess they had
created.

These two boys, even being boys, understood what they
did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an
accident.

This week Lady Justice Butler-Slosshas awarded the two
boys anonymity for the rest of their lives when they
leave custody with new identities.

They will also leave early this year only serving just
over half of their sentence. They are being relocated
to Australia to live out the rest of their lives.

They disgustingly and violently took Jamie's life away
in return they each get a new life.

They were released a few years back now. People tracked the two guys who did it down and offered to kill them in revenge, the mother of the boy said no to them because she wanted to move on.

It's fucked, but I guess if you do something at that age, you might be able to change and get a second chance?

I know i have to agree with the fact that the kids where 10 years old and might be able to change. BUT... just thinking of what they did to that lill toddler brings anger within me.

I was in England at that time, they took the kid from a supermarket and were caught on camera (unless I'm thinking of another case)??? Pretty sick shit.

Apart from what is thrown all over the media, there's always *much* more underneath - apart from an obvious extreme problem with kids murdering another child.

Can't say in this specific case, but the decisions by judges from the first days of court hearings years ago are most likely taken after loads of evidence - including some in private, - and much consultation with other folks, including the Bulger family members.

There are shitty junior judges (and a few senior one's), but suspect idiots would not be let near the Jamie Bulger case and whatever their decision - it's prob best for everyone involved - not just the kids who killed Jamie.

The murder of young Jamie was, and still is, a sensitive issue and likely to arouse public opinion - and completelty understand where you are coming from. It's sad shit all round.


PS... I've seen a few judges in action - most were kinda "average" (or at least there was little to say about them), but when the issue was more "relevant" - got to say these folks can assess individuals within minutes, absorb all salient facts and deliver a succinct, well-balanced judgement "off the cuff" - without scripting. When ya know the background of a case and see this in action - it's just awesome and hard to even convey - that kinda judge is the cream of professionalism and extremely fair and just. Suspect that is the type of judge handling an issue like the murder of Jamie.

That's exactly what has happened in the vast majority of instances of children killing either other children - or killing one or more parents.

Anyone ever did that to my kid, I would kill them AND their families.

Yea.. kids who murdered folks used to be stuffed on death row and kept there till they were "of age" then executed.

Can tell you of three - not "selected", but taken at random. All had murdered their parents (or one parent).

A friend who interviewed each over time a few years ago commented that she would have murdered the parents as well if she suffered what the kids went thru - and she had plenty experience and qualifications to talk.

I cant believe kids that age can be that evil.

I still think it was a tragic accident- the whole country went mad over it and didnt see the big picture.

I hope that the kids go away and can get on with what life they have left.

It is always difficult when the people that do such a crime are so young when they do it. They will one day be killed in public.

Think it is possible to "just be evil", but it sure does not appear to be the case normally. There is usually some background involvement with adults who did them damage and/or abused them in some way.

Agree emotions can overtake sanity in cases like this - basically we all just go nuts over it and suggesting revenge by killing more folks - but that does not help, especially when we don't have a clue of the real background.

Think much the same as you - if a judge elected to release the killers and little doubts with advice and consultation with others familiar with the case and Jamie's family - it's prob best to accept that and let them get on with their lives.


PS BTW.. It's not just kids who have been abused and then commit crimes. Chances are adults who commit assault-type crimes against individuals also have a history of abuse when they were young - that shit is one very vicious circle where everyone involved is in some way or other, a victim. Death row is still full of the victims of pedos and abusers - makes ya wonder.

I do remember this case, absolutely sick that they were allowed to not only walk but given new identities. They'll walk for their sick crimes, knowingly exactly what they did. Sick sick sick.

There are some weird cases WG and some what may seen to be weird sentencing.

Know of one instance, not a violent crime, but one that involved drugs. Two individuals charged with carrying.. can't remember the substance but the weight was 2 kilos between them and the penalty would normally be a min of 7 to 12 years.

The individuals charged were boyfriend and girlfriend scenario - he was, well, an utter bastard in many ways and committed serveral other offenses ranging from fraud to blackmail and hell knows what else and where law enforcement were already aware and trying to collect sufficient evidence to prosecute. These offenses were so extensive that the prosecutor did not wish to spend that volume of money (around $1.5 mill at that time) prosecuting the case and also because one crime overlapped the other and from a jury's angle, would confuse them to hell and send them to sleep.

Anyways, the boyfriend was a controlling character and had his girlfriend right under his thumb. She was... very normal girl.. and not too bright.

When the drugs issue came to trial the judge sentenced the boyfriend to 12 years. He let the girlfriend off (with 6 months monitoring) simply because she was just too stupid. :)

Law enforcement in that jurisdiction have not forgotten about the masses of other crimes and will be waiting at the jail doors when he walks out from his current sentence and ready to arrest him again for a few of his previous offences. :)

everything has its extremes, but normality often rules the day,

IE: if something like this happens the child or person is most likely abused and has a "warped" sence of reality and lack of judgement(cant see the consequences of their actions), but ofcourse.. some people are born evil, id say extremly few.. and those are most likely born with minor brain defects that makes them lose empathy.

not well known fact: (brainiologists or what ever) are pretty sure that the empathy center comunicates via the frontal lobe(brain parts behind your forehead) and abuse will easily damage this part of the brain seeing as you shake the brain when you hit the head, and the frontal lobe will be damaged against the inside of your scull, the extense of this damage will then again lower your sence of empathy. atleast thats what they theorise about.

anyway, enough typing.back to work.

Obviously the kids werent of sound mind but that is no excuse. Those batteries dont just lie on the floor. They "planned" that, it is obvious. Everything they did was planned.

They knew what they did was wrong and are not being punished for it, just another three years older and the police would have been able to do something about it.

Im ashamaed about the UKs justice system, there is not justice. There is far too many sickening things over here, just like everywhere else, but the difference in the states is that when people are bad they get punished. Over here they get a slap on the wrist and told they get a new life, anonyminity, new job etc..

next time you see a ten year old boy, ask yourself.. how much evil plotting do you think this child is capable of doing? when i was ten years old i had the attentionspan of a hyperactive squirrel and plotting anything other then what to do for the next 2 seconds was far out of my mental reach.

It's not for speculation as to whether the kids were of not sound mind and if that were the case, there is some valid mitigation. Few civilised societies take revenge on mentally ill folks.

Kids can't plan an outing, nevermind two of "unsound mind" getting together and planning to kill another child. The odds of that are remote - tho possible.

I'd bet ya $10K that not only one, but both attackers have a background of being abused by adults. Both are "victims" of abusive adults and, in turn, so is Jamie Bulger.

Agree... the UK is no different to most other western countries in the sickening things that happen. Apart from simple greed and crimes committed to gain material advantage, probably the most damaging thing is the abuse of children - simply because this extends outwards and often results in abuse of other children.

There are individuals walking in the UK now who are "known" for problems relating to children and in ... can't remember.. either two or three instances, it's a matter of finding bodies of missing children who are, in some way, connected to these individuals. There is currently little *actual* evidence which can be used in court, but that will happen eventually. The one factor in common with all of these individuals is that all were abused as kids - and have progressed in their lives to abusing other kids and possibly killing some. It's a vicious circle.

Don't knock the justice system too much :) There are a good few extremely able judges there who can see thru bullshit in a second and don't tolerate crap, but also absorb every detail. I'd trust them more than any gossip from the media - it's their job to judge and sentence.
