Remember all the FEMA mobile homes ?

Remember all the mobile homes fema bought for hurricane katrina victims that sat in a field.

They are FINALLY going to move some of them..

TO NEW JERSEY

incase of a terrorist attack or hurricane..

FOR $5 MILLION transport cost

wtf.. i swear these jokers are just laughing their pants off secretly.. " lets see what we can get away with next"

Lets buy a bunch of mobile homes at inflated costs , stick them in a bog , then we wont give any out because you cant put mobile homes in a flood zone , then lets waste some money sending them somewhere else, that they will eventually prob pay someone to burn..

That's disgusting, They really need to do away with that agency and rebuild a fresh one that is accountable for its actions.

The New Orleans story just gets sadder and sadder. They can go and topple a government, take over a country and salute each other on a battleship in a handful of days, but leave people to die in their own cities after a hurricane.

Looks like they still haven't learned anything.

This is actually connected to the illegal immigrant debate.

They passed something down there making it legal for business owners to hire illegal workers to rebuild the city. As a result, they've been flooding into the area due to all of the work. So of course these contractors want to keep the Americans out so they are "forced to hire" illegals to do the job at a much lower cost.

Americans are having a very difficult time returning because there is no housing. However, contractors have had no problem setting up temporary housing for their illegal workers.

There is NO REASON why federal tax dollars couldn't have been used to set up trailers for the people of New Orleans to return to and rebuild the city themselves. This is just another case of the government catering to businesses looking to make an extra back at the expense of low and middle class Americans.

well they "claim" you cant put trailer in a flood zone ( new orleans ) , but then why the fuck did they buy all the trailers.. i heard they were going to have to destroy them because they will sink in the mud soon.

I think there are something like 10,800 mobile homes just sitting there.

Hurricane season starts in about 40 days. I'm sure FEMA has all the kinks worked out now. :1orglaugh

I know a couple of different guys who are making BIG BUCKS with moving this shit around for FEMA as independant contractors. Most of the mobile homes are made in the Elkhart, IN area and there are places all over where I live that advertise $1.00 a mile and sometimes much more to haul those things around. Its like a cottage industry.

I hope you're kidding, but something tells me you arent. Do you have a link to the law or a news story?

What a fucking pile of horseshit. They shouldnt rebuild the damn city to begin with, much less by using taxpayer dollars and they sure as FUCK should not be using taxpayer dollars to pay illegals.

BTW, has anyone looked at buying land down there? I am sure it is going super cheap. Might be a worthwhile investment.
