Help, I am being invaded.... I think seriously!!
GOOD GOD, we turned on our porch light for like 20 minutes tonight and you can look at my window and it looks like something out of a fucking horror movie. And god forbid you walk outside. My 16 yr old just came back in and said they are just slamming into him out there........ YIKES!!
How in the hell do you get rid of these fuckers? I have never seen so many of these damn things in one place, and isn't it awfully early for them yet? :disgust Wasps are bad now too...... anyone else having hell with this so early this year? |

Wear a hat? I think I need a whole damn suit of armor this year. I haven't ever seen them this bad. Don't buy mulch, I am told that's how they get you. :Oh crap |

They fight with EVERYTHING. They were beating the hell out of my poor cat last night.... and my son tonight. They got hella balls, I can tell ya that much. lol |
Yes, do whatever else you can, but wear a hat.
Them fuckers are miserable when they get their clampers and legs all caught in your hair. |
Fortunately someone has already thought of a solution for most of lifes problems. You can gets various insect killers at the local wal mart, most likely in electric or chemical form.
|
i hate june bugs, loud as hell and heavy enough to feel when they ram you
|
Had to google for it cause I've never seen them before
http://www.ivyhall.district96.k12.il...unebeetCU.JPEG DESCRIPTION: The adult green June beetle (family Scarabaeidae) is usually 3/4" to 1" long, and 1/2" wide. The top side is forest green, with or without lengthwise tan stripes on the wings. The underside is metallic bright green or gold, and has legs with sturdy spines to aid in digging. The head has a short hornlike process on the front. In the Mid-Atlantic region the names "June bug" and "June beetle" are commonly used for this insect. They're called "fig eater" in the southern part of their range. Do not confuse the green June beetle, however, with the familiar brown May or June beetles that are seen flying to lights on summer nights. The green June beetle adult flies only during the day. |

Hell yeah they can be, I have long hair, so I won't be going out them there doors after dark for awhile. So does my husband, but they won't touch his hair.. LOL detoxed, that's what we are looking up right now. I didn't know it, but they'll eat my damn trees I just planted. Last year it was Japanese Beetles, this year it is June Bugs. |
It's only April?
|
Insects are going to be a BIG problem this year because of the warm winter. Because the ground did not free this winter, the cold (freezing) did not kill them. It is going to get worse.
|
Hmm.. I don't have any at all around my place.. that I've seen or heard anyway..
You're just up the road, so you must be around a breeding area for them or somethin.. |
Quote:
They get any worse and I'll be looking for a new place, they will own this one by JUNE!!!!!! lol And yes, BoyAlley, that's what I was thinking exactly. Only April and they are this bad. |

That's possible, there is a huge corn field right next to me, that could be it, not sure. It's huge though. |
A cornfield you say?
Oh them junebugs are gonna be gorging on that corn, shitting on it, having junebug orgies on it, shooting bug jizz on it, bug piss, ohhh baby. I wouldn't be thinking of eating any of that corn if I were you. |
|
Quote:
As long as they are eating corn, they will leave me alone, right? |
Quote:
Yup, that's about how big they are and what they sound like out there.. rotfl |
Quote:
They will live in the corn field, and use your yard as their playground. |

Man, you just keep kicking me everytime I think I have some hope of fighting this, don't you? You are waiting for your yearly beating are you? :upsidedow :1orglaugh |

I think you missed a few years. You might want to get me a triple beating to bring your account up to date. |
