It's some embarrassing shit to see a country known for partying itself into a fit to beat all the superpower nations in making itself indepent on foreign fuel.

There's no fuckin excuse the U.S. couldn't have done this other than corruption and greed.

ok, nytimes wants me to register - too lazy to do that

the other article simply states that they'll produce enough oil and wont need imports, not so sure what the big deal about that is, had they found alternative energy source .. well that'd be entirely different story

I am looking fwd to the day Americans all have "flex fuel" cars and we can run on any ethanol / gas mixture. That day will come, sooner than you think.

Also would rather depend on importing Brazilian ethanol than oil from the mid east.

Glad I am a Petroleo Brasil stockholder...it's going through the roof lately
