Stats Software for Unix?
What are some good ones?
I would like very detailed stats, a good overview of each days stats etc. etc. please help! :) |
Hi,
Unfortenately there is no good unix stats package....I have tried most of them to be honest they all suck especially when having quite an amount of traffic.... I would recommend to buy a simple windows box and install livestats 6.2 check out the demo itīs fucking awesome... Just make a samba share for your logfiles and it works like a charm... Having good stats is essential....the money you spend on a simple windows box will pay back in no time...this package rocks...No I donīt work for this company and I donīt have shares.....Iīm just a very happy user of their software Hereīs the URL.... http://www.deepmetrix.com/ DynaMite :2 cents: |

You mean like webalizer??
|
i guess
whats the url to it? u use it? any good? |
|
webtrends is okay but with huge logfiles it sucks....
livestats can generate stats from split logfiles aswell in case you use a cluster for loadbalacing....that saves you writing a script to join seperate logfiles into a single one.... Livestats keeps very small database....hardly uses any diskspace I rotate logs every 4 hours...and it works like a charm DynaMite |
webalizer works on a single machine but donīt expect it to be
able to handle BIG logfiles....besides that it contains very very little usefull information..... It just reports totals and averages....not any real usefull information if you would like to analise it for marketing purposes. DynaMite :2 cents: |
