NHL Playoff Predictions?

Everything has been settled in the West, but most spots to be decided in the East .. still, any predictions on who will meet in the final?

Everyone loves San Jose, esp. with Vokoun out for the season ... but Nashville is a tough, hot team right now and they work hard.

Detroit is kicking ass, but Edmonton played them tight all year. Perhaps not a cake walk like people think.

Ottawa won't likely have Hasek to start, and either Tampa or Montreal will be a tough opponent for the Sens and Carolina.

Meanwhile, a lot of people will overlook New Jersey, Dallas, Philadelphia - they are not "hot" picks.

Personally, I see San Jose taking the West and Jersey taking the East and the Final.
What do you think?

Well if Tampa faces the Canes well they are a divisional rival, so they are a well known opponent and they are 5-3 vs them this year. That of course means nothing. probally the Canes or Ottawa representing the east. Though the Devils have been red hot as of late and won 10 straight 8 of them being against playoff teams. And are 29-9-4 in their last 42. That's equal to a 121 point season. So they are playing good at the right time.

In the West most likely Detroit, though I'll be rooting for Nashville.

Yes, but that's not entirely the reason I like them. They were the hottest team a few seasons back too and fell flat to the Canes in round 1. So sometimes, the hottest teams going into the playoffs fail badly and teams that were shaky rise up.

I just like their depth and they have the experience, esp. in net. Almost every other team in the East is going with a playoff rookie in goal. I'll take the guy that's been there before (Brodeur) and even without Stevens/Nidermayer they still can keep the puck out of their net.
