Poor Bill, thanks to the Internet a whole new generation will learn about his "error of the century".

Now how many of you just FFed to "the hit"? :)

I remember that Game 6 like it was yesterday, I actually went to Game 1 of that series at Shea as a kid.

the question is: why is Mookie white in that re-enactment?

A few years back he was nearby when some kid asked for his autograph...another kid said "watch your pen, he'll probably drop it"...

Buckner proceeded to grab the kid by the throat and shove him against the wall.:1orglaugh

sickkittens 04-18-2006 08:38 PM

Hahah. That was awesome...especially coming from a Yankees fan. :winkwink:

Bdiddy 04-18-2006 08:42 PM

It sux that Buckner gets all the blame because the sox still had game 7 to win it and they played like it was already over.

I remember crying during that series. I was only 9 and a big Red Sox fan. Thanks for posting that, that brought back memories. Always does when I listen to that commentary. It brings sadness just hearing that. It was very painful to watch at the time. I still have all the press clippings from that series in a scrap book.
