how much traffic do you need to apply for adsense?

never used adsense, but could need it for one site

how much daily uniques, clicks impressions or whatever do i need on that site?

Babaganoosh 04-18-2006 09:56 AM

none, you can apply with a completely new site

FuqALot 04-18-2006 09:56 AM

i dont believe there is a minimum needed

so they accept almost everyone?

let's say i make a small new site about Poland, add some information and pics, and then they will gladly accept me and display ads for "polish real estate", "poland travel" etc ?

edit: im not talking about Poland just some mainstream term though

That's right. I threw up a b/s site just to get approved. Took me 5 minutes then a week of waiting.

and do you have any control on the ads?
and do they always match the content precisely?

lets stick with the Poland example, i make a site with some info about polish culture, polish real estate and tourist destinations

so i guess on each of these pages they will display the most relevant ads?

i know in theory it should be like that, but i wonder how perfectly that works :)

polish_aristocrat 04-18-2006 10:07 AM

another question, i make a site about Poland but the domain will be "lalalala.com " where lalalala is a term which is used by some advertisers to promote sportsbooking ( just another example )

but i guess it wont matter, and the ads on my site will be related to the content, not domain keyword?

No it doesn't work perfectly, I'd say around 80% usually. I've only used them on one site but there were some ads that picked up some random text and put an ad dealing with that even though it was out of context. No clue if the domain name matters.

Oh, and it might have changed but for the first few days the ads aren't as relevant as they will end up. I "think" they do a special crawl to decide what ads to display.

You can't really control anything as far as content of the ads except for blocking specific advertisers.

I have heard of people being rejected or it taking up to 2 months for people to finally get accepted.

BUTTTTTTTTT

The easiest way to get accepted into Adsense is to open up a Blogger.com account and sign up for Adsense through Blogger.com.

It will take a day to be approved.

Be sure to submit a site in ENGLISH for approval. (way faster)

adsense is great , you can apply a new site , with zero traffic

madawgz 04-18-2006 02:14 PM

there is no minimum needed

HomerSimpson 04-18-2006 03:07 PM

no minimum needed
but site must comply with their terms so read 'em good

Paparazzi 04-18-2006 03:29 PM

quick question do they accept adult?

Miguelmateos 04-18-2006 10:12 PM

when you are signing up first thing they have you aggree to is not to show adsence on any site with pornography I had my account shut down just becuase a couple domains I bought and used to as landing pages for adsence although there was no links to porn or porn sites it did not matter just having a porn related domain will get you kicked out so be carefull I lost 2 months worth of adsence becuase of it

reviewcash 04-19-2006 12:01 AM

They do not allow adult content. They will disable that domain before terminating you for multiple attempts to have adds on porn content or porn like domain names.

Yes and no, ask your Adsense rep what you have in mind.

Ad Brite will let you do anything you want and if you have the traffic, and can prove it, you can pretty much charge whatever you want for the ads and have control over the content.

polish_aristocrat 04-19-2006 06:26 AM

k thanks for all the opinions
