Gemini 05-09-2002 08:05 AM

JFPdude 05-09-2002 08:08 AM

Darkystar 05-09-2002 08:12 AM

and JFPdude :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Gemini 05-09-2002 08:18 AM

Sounds like either they have a server down from whomever hosts them or they could be migrating to a new server. Track down their host and email them. lol

eru 05-09-2002 08:44 AM

A freehost with downtime,, never heard of that before!

Terenzo 05-09-2002 08:51 AM

maybe kinghost is shutting down their service since i decided to ban them on my latest tgp...

ServerGenius 05-09-2002 09:06 AM

Everything on cologroup is also down....already for hours :feels-hot

DynaMite

Nat 05-09-2002 09:06 AM

kinghost are hosted with cologroup, and the whole cologroup network seems to be down, and has been for quite some time now...

ldinternet 05-09-2002 09:11 AM

phatservers is also down. wtf.

Martin 05-09-2002 09:12 AM

Yeah alot of shit is down right now.

capribex 05-09-2002 09:13 AM

they are down as down gets.

"general purpose" freehosts are a thing of the past anyway. try registering with multiple freehosts which are tailored for specific TGPs, like

www.easythumbs.com: worldsex/absolute-series
www.thefree1.com: al4a/ampland
www.freegalleryhost.net: easypic

etc.

RaGe 05-09-2002 09:14 AM

Cogent is having some major issues it seems. Phatservers, kinghost, cologroup, along with many others are all down..

this is not good :)

goodgirl 05-09-2002 09:15 AM

Its not just cologroup. I have most of my sites with them, but one on another host and they are down as well.

zubr 05-09-2002 09:18 AM

I'm on cogent and up 'n' running :)

JFPdude 05-09-2002 09:19 AM

any word from the admins whats up ?

This is unlike them to not say something ... :arcadefre

Darkystar 05-09-2002 09:21 AM

I'm on cogent as well and up and runing
and i did traceroute on my servers and all the traffic goes through cogent.... (in case you think it's routed via backup connection)

ldinternet 05-09-2002 09:22 AM

"we are aware of it on working on it right now, it is not a server issue, it is a netowrk issue."

Very Interresting??:1orglaugh

RaGe 05-09-2002 09:25 AM

Hmm, turns out it may not be a Cogent issue.

Phatservers, cologroup and kinghost as well as quite a few others all have servers at the same facility, there's a major router there that went down..

Still gathering info :)

Your signature button is down. Is it network problem on my side, or part of the 0.1% down time mentioned in your text signature?

abshard 05-09-2002 10:01 AM

:( Anyone able to contact them, know an eta when the problems will be fixed??

bash 05-09-2002 10:02 AM

"Told ya so"

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Darkystar 05-09-2002 10:10 AM

Is it cogent issue or...?

clickpimp 05-09-2002 10:19 AM

not that cogent doesn't have it's share of issues, but my sources tell me it is a border router at the facility. multi-homed hosts are down too which seems to rule out a one provider issue.

I have a domain hosted on cogentco that is working so cogent is not down

Darkystar 05-09-2002 10:23 AM

I didn't mean that the whole cogent is down
as I understand that one of cogent's router's is down
and those sites that are on BGP connection should be up in that facility. I'm not sure though
am I right or wrong?

JFPdude 05-09-2002 10:28 AM

Heh is this where I take over for cologroup and start spamming who I work for and try to steal thier customers as they have done in the past to other hosts ? :thumbsup

RaGe 05-09-2002 10:42 AM

Everything is back up :)

CumSensei 05-09-2002 12:48 PM
