Anyone here likes K-1?

every time i watch a fight I get exhausted; it's like me getting hit in the head 5,000 times.

Eurosport had 2 days ago some very brutal k-1 fights. Do you know any cases these athletes suffered serious damages in brain? It's only matter of time for them if you ask me.

What is K-1?

High Plains Drifter 04-18-2006 08:23 PM

K-1 is a Japanese kick-boxing organization that had NBA-type popularity for a short period about 5 years ago. Its still insanely popular in Japan, but Pride (mixed martial arts, the UFC equavilent) is passing it by since many of their big name HW stars are aging/over-the-hill or left to do MMA - guys like Hunt, Lebanner, Crocop, Sapp (ugh) and Hoost carried K-1 during their heyday. They still have a couple of big names like Remy and they've been putting together some excellent MMA cards under the Hero's moniker. Their lightweight division (K-1 Max) still has great fighters and great fights all the time, but its not the same as watching the heavies.

Nope, sorry Johan, it's not really popular in my demographic. Neither is MMA. Go figure.
