My god I want to tear someone's fucking head off right now.

All I want is a clean setup and I haven't been able to respond to this guy because I have been so busy. He then wants to cancel my order and doesn't say why.
And then I have to email and ask "what's wrong" like it's some fucking child with a booboo.

The reason some adult webmasters are arrogant is because they make their money too fast and sometimes unexpectantly from a hobby (not unlike sports players or musicians). You're suddenly faced with a lot of cash and thinking you're site is better than the rest, blah, blah, blah. It's the ones who don't get over that fast and realise, you need to treat everyone without arrogance and with respect, one lost member in 1998 could have cost me $1000's by now and the old business adage stands, a happy customer will tell 2 other people about your product and unhappy customer will tell 10 others about your failings.

Been there, got passed it and having a much better time now.

The Bling Theory
 

I call this "New Money vs Old Money" or "The Bling Theory".

A lot of arrogance arose during the dotcom boom in general. There is def a great deal of arrogance in both adult and mainstream. It is one thing to be good at what you do and make good money doing it, but we all need to remember how we started and where we came from.

I was sitting having drinks after a mainstream show with some business friends of mine. We are all in our late 20s. We were talking about places we've travellled and outlandish expense reports etc. After we finished telling our stories, I looked at em and said... "You guys know we are blessed. We should never take this for granted. Seriously... 4-5 yrs ago, would you have thought you would be here?"

Its good to always think of things in that way.... one day you are on top... one day you are not. Be nice to those you meet on the way up because your fall from the top will hurt a lot more once you realize that you are alone.

Your absolutely right Wonderwoman - and even in the earlier days I used to wake up and thank the porn God that I didn't have to teach or wipe ass anymore for a living - but now I wake up, thank the porn God with the same blessings and go out with a different attitude - in 9 years I've seen a lot of people sink, I don't want to go the same way and arrogance is certainly something which will help you along that path.
