Firefox ideas...and Help? I love FireFox...

But Routinely...It crashes on me (maybe conflicts...but I know its getting better)

And I love to leave alot of windows open... maybe 20-30 FireFox windows...

If there a way to recover those windows after rebooting?

Report it in the firefox bugs forum with the other 12,000 documented bugs. I'm sure they'll get to it in the next 3 or 4 releases. ;)

Assume you mean tabs??

There is still a mem leak on Fox and may be the problem, but I've had three instances of Fox open and around 150 tabs and seems to work OK.

That's why I dropped it too, working with more than 10 tabs used to crash the browser almost every single time, switch to K-Meleon

If you are talking about tabs then put the sites you need into a folder in your firefox bookmarks and when your computer booted open firefox, go to the folder and choose open in tabs and there are your windows.

Also, i a couple of times i had more than 100 tabs open without a crash

there was some plugin that asks if it should save all the tabs on FF close... i cannot remember it's name... :(

madawgz 04-17-2006 01:46 AM

it all depends on your computer, and what programs are open...

try to remove your firefox and re-install another. try to see if that helps.

Tab Mix Plus :thumbsup
Love Firefox, Microsoft was just too fuckin' lazy for years till FF kicked em in the nuts; even if they do make a better browser thier laziness will keep me hard pressed to switch back.:321GFY

oh lord. another firefox thread. when will they ever learn/??

There's an extension that reopens your tabs if you crash FF. I stopped using that though because of one time a site on a tab was causing the crash instantly for some reason, so when it recovered it would just loop the crash.

Get the latest version 1.5.02. Its really great.
