ColoGroup Absolute Path/Path to Perl
I'm assuming that ColoGroup has all of their virtual boxes set up in a similar manner. Anyway, I have a virtual account with them and I need to know the absolute path, path to Perl, sendmail... you know, all the good stuff.
Can anyone hook me up with the information? My dedicated server from another company just got dumped for some reason, so I'm moving my big sites over to the virtual account quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys! And yes, I already fucked myself. I used boneprone's dick. |
Try this
http://dotmatrix.net/scripts/setup/ You'll have to know the path to Perl before it will run but it is almost always #!/usr/local/bin/perl pr #!/usr/bin/perl This little script will tell you everything about the server you'll need to know. |
did you try to icq Jason?
|
Have you ever heard of email or icq?
|
I have several times in two days, getting no response. My ICQ has been fucking up lately though, I lend no blame.
Thanks, I'll check out the script. PHP has a similar one, listing all the global values and modules on hand, but I can't find the damn thing. I'll check out the CGI one. |

I could email and hear back in a couple hours (how fast is their support?) Or I could post here, where there are many current customers, and get an answer (with some attitude:winkwink: ) in minutes. I like time. |

perl - /usr/bin/perl
sendmail - /user/sbin/sendmail There you go. That should be all you need. Keep in mind, you can always call us on 858-456-7378 or 408-209-8949 or 408-316-5944 for imediate answers. 12 Minutes for answer on the board, I think I need a cologroup message board on www.cologroup.com. :) Jason |
Jason,
Absolute path? And have you been getting my ICQ messages? Also, you might want to put some of this information on your site somewhere easily accessible. Looks like I'll have to call you... |
Hmm, thought that was what you needed. The "/" in front of the paths stands for root, so that would be the absolute path.
BTW, it is 9 PM and the night shift come online now. You can get Swampfox or King to set up your scripts for you. They'll be online in the next 30 minutes -> 9138065 SwampFox <-> 23342353 King |

What I'm looking for would look something like this: /home/sly_rj/www The above would be the absolute path for my web directory. The absolute path to my root would be something like: /home/sly_rj |
Ok, I just got off the phone with Jason. If anyone is wondering, the absolute path to your directory is:
/home/username |
