The ASDA is closed.
The mall is closed.
Everything except my local muslim convienance store is closed!

This is not FAIR because I'm not even christian!

Is it always like this? (How 1970s!)
Or am I missing some great event that I should be going to?

This is one of the few holidays were most people actually do get off of work. Remember, even if hardly anyone still goes to a Christian church here this is still offically a Christian country so the big Christian holidays mean people actually get off work.

Luckily, my local chinese is open though because there is no way I am cooking tonight.

Yea...
I am sounding a bit extremist.

I dont know what its like these days but Australia was scarey over easter - I arrived for the first time on Easter Sunday and I nearly got back on the plane and came home.

It's a holiday there - so that means it has to rain. Folks want to get away so spend Easter on clogged up roads, sit in long traffic queues and get envious of those in the lane where the traffic is moving quicker :)

Manowar 04-16-2006 02:22 PM

easter rocks, everyone just sits around eating chocolate

andrej_NDC 04-16-2006 02:26 PM

Everything is open today as was yesterday. Friday was a national holiday and tomorrow, too. So I guess only few malls and shops will be open.
