Yes, and it is amazing.

And haters, try it first and tell, me I am wrong.

And no, that does NOT mean I condone killing whales.

My folks used to run coach trips to Boston to go whale watchings. I couldn't even let is pass my lips let alone pay somebody for it. I know it should be no different than any other animal but it is for me. Wonder what the legal issues of bringing it through customs into the States are too.

_Danielle_ 04-16-2006 03:34 AM

What can I get for ten dollars?

Personnally, I couldn't morally buy the stuff, even though it'd be interesting to see how they taste.

By buying the product, you're supporting the hunters that are killing the whales to extinction.

Land rights for gay whales

Different people worry about different thing. I generally agree with you but just because we aren't doing what we should in one area doesn't mean we shouldn't be trying to make up for something crap we did in the past. I am biased when it comes to humpbacks in particular because they are the only animal ever to take my breath away when I saw them in the wild. However, preservation in general is not, in my view, something that isn't worth giving resources towards.

I am with you on many of those issues but those are different skill sets and I don't see why one or the other has to happen.

I am condoning killing whales.

I watch humpbacks breach and play offshore from my balcony during season, and have had the pleasure of swimming close (well close enough) hear a couple in the past.

Un-fucking-believable on all counts.

I just always find it ironic the shit in life that gets ignored while other thing don't.

It wasn't a political statement.

100% agree :thumbsup

It's also ironic that some nations and individuals are spending considerable time and money in ensuring the safe breeding/birthgrounds of, in particular, the humpback and other idiots are killing them.

These folks know far more about whales than the assholes who want to stuff their faces with their flesh - just to see how nice they taste.

BTW.. Not really related, but was watching a whale teach it's offspring how to dive recently in a bay nearby - amazing stuff. Never thought a young whale would need to learn how to dive. :)

That was not a whale but some BBW MILF teaching her bastard trailertrash son how to swim

Nazgrel 04-16-2006 06:26 PM

lol.

I totaly condone the killing of whales, just as I condone the killing of cows.
The whales hunted in Norway (and Japan I assume) is not hunted to extintion and the populations whould be growing to big had it not been for the hunt. How americans can say "oh, no! dont kill the whale, its cute" and then have a burger at MacDonalds Ill never understand. What is wrong whit hunting whale as loong as the population is maintained? Its no worse, in some cases better, than the breething of livestock just to slaugther it for the meat.

As for the meat, its probably one of the best meats out there we use to buy it off the boat whenever it docks here.

PS: You have to cook it right, or else it will be dry.

Drake 04-16-2006 07:12 PM

Being that whales are mammals, does it taste like seafood or more like land animal meat?

camuseeme 04-16-2006 08:04 PM

Since your posting here it must have cum from a sperm whale :1orglaugh

There's a difference in killing an animal for food and SURVIVAL, as for killing an animal to extinction to serve it as a delicacy.

We don't HAVE to hunt the whales to extinction, but we are. Thats whats wrong.

Spunky 04-16-2006 08:41 PM

That's fucked up and I wouldn't support it at all..leave the fucking whales alone

Morgan 04-16-2006 08:42 PM

i was eating some whale meat and bit into a gold ring. the name "jonah" was engraved inside... im going to sue.

Agreed.

Problem is that alot of the hunting is being abused. The population isn't being controlled, its being decimated.

There are getting to the point of killing female whales that have offspring in their bellies.

There is nothing wrong in killing a whale for food if its in abundance and it is a main food source. But right now, the over hunting of the whales is leading to the extinction of the species. Which is ridiculous considering the fact that we have so many other sources of food.

And I'm sorry to say, with that kind of mentality, we'll end up one day with no more whales, and then people will be saying : "Oh shit... oops, we killed 'em all... darn... didn't see that coming."

Nazgrel 04-17-2006 07:36 AM

The whales beeing hunted in Norway and Japan is not about to be extinct.
It is a controlled hunt, and the only species of whale that are beeing hunted are the ones that have a healty/growing poppulation. Just becouse the population of some whale species are to smal thats not a reason not to hunt the speices that have healthy population. (and ffs, we are talking about a controlled hunt here, not a free for all slaugther)

However, afther Japans hard lobbying work, it now seems that the international restrictions on whale meet now might be loosend quite a bit.

I tried whale steak in Norway when I was studying there. It was prepared like a beef steak and surrounded by a wonderful gravy. I thought that was THE best steak I have ever had in my entire life! Whale is a mammal and it does taste similar to beef, so the beef lovers out there would enjoy it. The fat of the animal is in the layer around the whale, so the meat itself is not fatty but DAMN is it soft and tender!
If whale steak was on the menu, I would definitely order it.

However, stay away from the spotted owl wings and baby harp seal fajitas.
