Why are the drunks that walk by my window always singing Danny Boy?
Last night it was like drunk choir practice outside. I suppose because it is a long weekend so they get even more plastered. Maybe it is a British thing but pretty much every single one that was loud and singing was singing Danny Boy. Everytime I have had a drunk on a bus they are singing Danny Boy. Is it because it is such an easy tune most people can get close to it even when they are off their heads?

I doubt they are all Irish..not for a few generations anyway...though it is a British enough song, I guess

nope, its an irish song. had an irish ex |
yeah I know but being the close relations between the two it is a standard here too...largely with the older generations..though that doesn't explain the 30 somethings singing it drunk

maybe they think its cool

why do white kids from the suburbs dress black, talk and act ghetto?
|
here they wear American sports team hats but in the wrong colors..annoys me but I would probably get knifed if I pointed out the Phillies hat shouldn't be purple.

Why do we sing Danny Boy?
