ive learned that the ONLY thing thats keeping smart, motivated hard working people..

..from making big money is....their fear of losing a little cash.

Just a little rant.. pay no attention.

One of the things ive been struggling with during my life as an self-acclaimed entrepreneur
is why i usually make a lot of money while im surrounded by people that work
harder, are smarter, have more knowledge but seem to struggle every day for amounts i consider pocket change.

I had 2 theories: A. perhaps i AM smarter and work harder and have more knowlegde than them. or
B. im just fucking lucky every fucking time.

But A.. its quite obvious im an idiot and B. i cant have consistent luck for years. I just had this brainwave and i tihnk i finally figured out what
the secret engine behind my (once again self acclaimed) succes is : risk.

Im not affraid to take risks because i dont give a shit about money. No: i give shit about money but its just numbers to my little brain and i _cannot_ feel/see/understand the underlying value of it so i just play numbers. And money happens for me while others hesitate because they see every dollar as a dollar and spend it as such. For every fucking little genius idea they have
they think and think and calculate and get swamped in details only to have
the project fail after a certain period where i just do what has to be done
and put money on it to make it happen. And if it fails.. next.. but funny thing is it usually doesnt fail because of the approach.

In other words: if you have it all but cant get it running... youre not thinking big enough and take too little riskss. Its that simple.

:winkwink: Nada wrong with a rant!

Folks are different.. It may seem "anti" but some folks are not really interested in "making big money" - they enjoy doing what they do and earn more than enough not to bother.

Others treat it like an obsession - often that group does not actually have the tools or ability to do much more than simply "seek big money". Can think of a few who make a "career" out of the obsession and earned more money than God - (more than 99.9% of webmasters dreamed of) - and they are happy as hell.

Others think the adult biz is "easy" and dream of wealth. They appear on GFY for a few months and disappear into something else.

Only my :2 cents: the "adult biz" is no different to any other. It's a matter of sticking the course and riding the ups and downs - any biz is never a sprint, but a marathon and the "value" of money is fine and nice, but there's more to it than that. Suppose it's not a surprise the folks who stuck the course are still around today. Some started at the same time as I did and we are still good friends today - that was well over 3 decades ago - definately a marathon :-) Ya got to have money, but it's not *really* going to change your lifestyle that much after the time of playing with toys like cars etc is over with.

agreed that there needs to be some risk for some reward, but I still think its important to view a dollar for a dollar. The same reasoning can be put into gambling and is why so many people end up with problems, because its "just numbers" & they dont see the end result of losing all that money.

You need to have a plan in place & understand that money & risk need to be put in order to get something.. sometimes it works, some times it doesnt, but you need to see the dollar for its worth too imo.
