What does GST and PST stand for?
I might feel like a moron after someone gives me the answer but I need to reply to this counter offer right away and don't want to sound like a stupid fuck.
Here is the text of the email. "You can have it (domain) for USD $X,XXX, payable by wire transfer. GST and/or PST > taxes are applicable if you are from Canada. I have a standard contract > available if this is acceptable to you. Perhaps I have been smoking too much this weekend but I don't know what GST and PST mean. Anyone? |

Basically he's saying that he's a registered canadian business and if you are too then he's obligated to charge GST/PST on top of the sales price. So if you are Canadian, you need to pay the GST (Goods and Services Tax) of 7% extra and if you are in the same province as the guy, then the PST (Provincial Sales Tax) as well. If you're not Canadian, neither tax is applicable.
