You have a professional photographer who can't help you pick out equipment or lighting or stuff like that?

AaronM 05-08-2002 04:24 PM

I am more than willing to help you out bro. I will contact you when I get done washing my hair.

If I had good lucking models I'd let them buy lottery tickets for me, easier money if you ask me. Then again... I never had any look with the lottery.

AaronM 05-08-2002 04:39 PM

Shit! I just realized that I am missing something. :(

how the fuck does anyone ever expect to be taken serious with posts like this. "i want to start selling content, whats a fucking camera?" "can someone explain what a jpg is, maybe we'll be partners!" this is almost as good as the "I'm starting an AVS, anyone with money want in?" posts.

Nothing personal, but think about it.

That post up there is absolutely right. How do you expect to be taken seriously when you start off with "I want to produce content, and I have a professional photographer working for me. Which camera should I use and what kind of lighting?"

Your professional photographer *should* in theory know something about cameras and lighting.

xxxwizard 05-08-2002 04:52 PM

Ok, you're right,
But if i star explaining that photograper worked on noDigital equipment, and that here in Yugoslavia I have great models in really low price range, and that i really don't have a clue on making content, but i can manage to employee staff for low price, and i am only interested in EQUIPMENT that is the best to start with then i will write all book here, and by that time i could find resurce on making adult content :winkwink:
Excuse me for trying to do this easy way..
PS: I don't ask for any partner or something i just ask what equipment is needed...:ak47:

Yea, but all that sounds better than what you posted. ;)

Good luck. I don't know how many content producers are going to give you their secrets for nothing. :winkwink:

Okay, here's what I'll say: You're going to be selling photos pretty much at a maximum resolution of 1024x, so while most photos benefit from being shot a bit large and then being reduced, there really is no reason to shoot larger than 1600x. (What I'm saying here is entirely for web work.)

You can take very decent photos using fill and bounce. Take a look at my newest gal, Lorena, shot in a hotel bathroom using nothing but fill and bounce flash:

http://www.unseenworld.com/Temp/Lolg1011.jpg

Don't let your photographer talk you into buying his dream camera for him. I use an Olympus C-3000, C-3040, and C-4040 (all very closely related cameras with very similar controls). I'm sure there are other brands, but this is the brand I would recommend, because only it and Nikon (more expensive) offer you the ability to use bounce and fill on a TTL-metered basis (the flash is controlled by the camera based on metering the light from the actual image, rather than some sort of calculated estimate).

Hope that helps. I'm sorry Aaron was washing his hair. Lucky for you, I just got done flossing my teeth and rearranging my sock drawer, or I wouldn't have been able to help you, either.

Hey, once you have some pics of models to show, I might be interested in going to Yugoslavia and shooting some girls in exchange for helping you guys get started. How about it?

Thank you a lot, i have to appology for my writing and gramatik errors, but i am from Yugoslavia, and we don't use a lot of English here:)
Sorry about thet again,
So i won't need some expencive lights or something like thet?
Only medium quality camera and models..
Great..

Tipsy 05-08-2002 05:34 PM

You'd get more money if you used high quality models rather than medium quality models :)

LOL ,
Im just fuckin with ya bro. I use the nikon D1X with flash and fire wire and as far as lighting goes, it all depends on what and where your shooting. A white card bounce or shinny board is good for outdoors and a cpl four-bank 5500-3200 mix kino soft lights should be fine for indoors.
Good luck :321GFY

Hi xxxwizard
When you have something shot send a sample to us. We may buy it, depends on what it is like. We DO NOT BROKER, tried it with others and got ripped off.
Also if you have some good girls and good locations we can come down to you and shoot, or you can bring the girls to here. We are only in Czech Rep.

Hello XXXwizard !
Do not listen to all of these fucking monkeys that were taught how to post to a message board.
(I really wish I had not conducted that experiment in basic primal behavior)

Seriously though ... we were all newbies needing help at one time. I think some people forget that all too easy.

As the Head Photographer for MAFIA PORN , I can tell you that I have GREAT results with this camera

http://www.jamonline.com/products/jamcam_specs.asp

I hope this helps you ... and good luck in your business !!!:thumbsup

And it has nothing to do with the fact that I was also interested in getting some content from Yugo.:thumbsup
We can work out a deal. :-)

xxxwizard, i'm not a professional but i have researched a lot of things. send me an icq and i can help you out, 147546501. as for your photographer, if he doesnt know anything about lighting i would recommend doing it yourself or finding another photographer.
