Very nice, but I think that it is over kill.

At $350+ for the Triplehead2Go, I think it you would have to be insane to buy it. It's alot cheaper to just add another videocard....

pretty smooth, but yea, at $350 it's completely pointless to buy one...

The Triplehead2Go is not as it sound...

With a video card (or second video card), the operating system sees each monitor as an independently controllable desktop. You can set resolution, size, and position of the monitors independently, and windows can intelligently size themselves to each desktop on each monitor.

However, with the matrox Triplehead2Go, you're stuck with one giant desktop that spans all your monitors.

I have a triple monitor setup in my office using the Matrox Parahelia (128MB AGP) with (3) 19" monitors and it works well. I have to imagine that since I bought the card about two years ago they could be much cheaper now. If you're not a big gamer the card I have is a great solution, otherwise I have to think that something newer like this would be more ideal for gamer needs.

I'd rather have one of these (Westinghouse LVM-37W3), it even has a better quality panel than most LCD monitors out there. (1920x1080) res.
